  1. We purchased an all aluminum 27ft above ground pool. Our installer excavated the yard; due to it being unlevel there is one side of the pool that is dug 2 feet 8 in down. We had a drain tile line that was going right through the middle of the yard where the pool is going to go. We hired a landscaper to reroute the drain tile to around the outside of the pool. I need advice with two topics: 1) we just had a very heavy rainfall and there is now a lot of water in site of the pool. We also noticed water leaking through the ground where the drain tile used to be. Any advice on why we could still be seeing water in this area? 2) There will be about a foot between the pool wall and ground. We have been researching the best possible way to back fill. Do we need to build a retaining wall? Do we need to back fill with the sand-cement mix? Do we need to back fill will the excavated dirt? Thank you in advance for any advice!
  2. I am trying to determine the best heating option for a 18' x 33' x 52" ABG. The pool is located in PA and the weather is very seasonal. I have read that heat pumps are not recommended if the temperature drops below 45 deg. Farenheit, but the pool will be closed late September - early October, depending on the weather. All of the heaters I have looked at are either natural gas or propane. I would like to not use either if possible. Would a heat pump be okay to use in this situation and what are some recommended manufacturers. Aside from how each device heats the pool,. are there any other major differences or are they pretty similar? Thank you in advance for any advice on this topic.
  3. We are replacing our 10 yr old pool this year with a new one. The company that I want to go through said that we HAVE to take down the deck that is halfway around it. Mind you, the deck is also 10 yrs old and if taken down will probably have to be replaced as well. We do not want to do this. Is this a usual request? Or do they just not want to have to deal with climbing under it? Like I said, I really want to use this company. They are very reputable in our area and offer very high quality pools and installs at a fair cost. But if I am gonna have to shell out another 4 G's for a new deck because they are lazy, then im looking elsewhere. Please someone tell me if this is a must.
