  1. Hi! A couple days ago we noticed these three small bits floating in the hot tub. (I attached a bunch of pictures) We did some investigating and it looks as though the light cap just under the moto massage has broken. I think it was a clean break because the top and the threading barrel fits together perfectly (I was thinking about using gorilla glue to repair it?) We’ve been trying to track down the parts (found 2 online that look similar) and find a reliable vendor to replace it. Unfortunately we are just out of warranty and the local spa repairman wants to send a bunch a people out to f
  2. I’ve got a 2004 Hot Springs Jetsetter that has been relatively trouble free until recently. Last month, a few days after water changeout, the level had dropped about 9 inches and I saw water leaking from below the spa in the back right corner in the vicinity of the motomassage. There was no water in the equipment compartment, so I scheduled a visit from a Hot Springs tech thinking it might be a quick diagnostic/ fix. No such luck. He came out, told me I had a leak and would have to drain the spa, move it away from the house, refill it, reheat it, and have him return. I drained, mov
  3. When purchasing a new cover, is the local dealer my only option for original hot springs cover? Will I sacrifice quality by going to an online dealer?
  4. Hello, I have a 2012 Hot Springs Jet Setter Model JJ SN JJ1P2197 that has a safety protection mode on. The water level is okay. The filters are okay. I have removed the stand pipe filter and mineral tablet out of it. It originally had a bad IQ2020 main board. The old part number was a Watkins PN 1315101. I ordered a new control board for it (watkins 76998). The circulation pump kicked on at first flipping the breaker then stopped after a few seconds. The controller panel only works with some functions. No jet pumps or circulation pump. No heater. I took a new plunger to the water
  5. Hi I have a 2000 hotsprings jetsetter model j that I'm attempting to repair. So far I replaced the heater circulation pump which got the hot tub working after 2 or 3 years of sitting for about 5 days after which it started to blow the gfci plug. I ohm'd the heater and it reads 10.8 ohms. When I reset the gfci it starts up Until it hits the heater and trips. With the heater unplugged it operated normally. What could cause the problem in the heater if the resistance is In spec?
  6. I am a newbie to this forum AND a first time hot tub owner. Recently bought a house that included a HotSpring Jetsetter. Prior owner signed a paper that said it was in fine working order - but it was not (but that is not the issue!). Actually it is in spectacularly good condition (the prior owners were fuss-buckets), and while I don't know the year exactly - it is pre-2005 because in 2006 Watkins changed the dimensions and ours is the smaller pre-2005 size. The problem is that it is leaking, badly (like 3 inches a day). I have traced the leak to the bottom drain since it will drain comple
  7. First off, hello everyone. i have a late 90's Jetsetter (J-1511684) with a bad leak. I have checked the seals on the pumps and lines and have a dry equipment compartment. As you can see in the photos, the insulation packing above the lens is soaked and dripping constantly. I know many of these tubs have issues with the lens leaking but the water is much higer, it has swelled all the packing above the lens. Is it possible that the water has leaked out somewhere lower and saturated the packing enough that it has swollen above the leak? If I let it go it will finally stop losing wa
  8. i am looking at a used Hot Springs Jetsetter tub, and the owner says it is running 220V. I was previously under the impression that these were convertible tubs - were there any of this model that were 220V only? I asked the seller and they didn't know, so I thought I would see if anyone here might have an answer. If it is indeed a convertible, but they only used it as a 220V tub, would I need anything in addition to the tub to run it as a 110V tub somwhere else?
  9. Looking at a used 2003 Hotsprings Prodigy for $3500 vs new 2012 Jetsetter or Limelight for almost double that ($6600/$6000). All are from a reputable dealer. The used Prodigy was (reportedly) well taken care of; owner traded for new smaller HS tub when moving from large home to a townhome. It comes with 1 year warranty. I'd like a 7 - 10 year life for the tub. Thoughts?
  10. I'm purchasing my first hot tub. I've researched for awhile and based on size desired, dealer availability and cost have narrowed down to the Marquis Spirit or the HotSprings Jetsetter. Both of these are 3/4 person tubs, which is all I need. - I've wet-tested the Spirit and like it. I've found posts here and elsewhere about the Jetsetter but haven't wet-tested yet. Though I haven't wet-tested both yet, comments lead me to believe the jets on the Spirit are more what I'm looking for - there are low-back jets and leg jets on the Spirit, which the Jetsetter doesn't have. - I've read that I shou
