  1. I've looked around and not seen this problem mentioned. I am trying to connect my remote after removing and replacing the [same] battery. I get to a screen that asks if I want to Connect a New Spa [which is what I want to do]. There is a bright Yes button and a dark No button. And the instruction at the bottom to touch and hold the screen if I want to calibrate the screen. If I try to touch the yes button to connect a new spa nothing happens. If I hold touch the yes button for too long it takes me to the calibrate screen. Then small buttons appear sequentially in the four corners and I can touch them and then it takes me back to the Connect a New Spa screen. But I am unable to get the Yes button to respond. Turned spa off and on a few time. I've taken battery out and in a few times. Spa is operational and the temperature seems right. The remote is barely one year old -- purchased Dec 2021 -- and treated gently by adults and not ever in the water. Any suggestions ? On a related note is it possible to check to see if the battery is charged sufficiently ? I there a way to measure the voltage available ? I imagine the spa has to be talking to the remote to get the buttons to respond. Is there a way to determine if the spa is the culprit [as opposed to the remote] I live a a rather remote area. Getting a [reliable] repair person to respond can be a challenge. Thanks.
  2. I have an 03 tiger river with the latest revision main board (77087) and a 2 relay updated heater board. wired for 120v on a dedicated 20a circuit. if i turn on my spa the jet pump cycles for a moment, the control panel lights up briefly, then everything turns off and only the circ pump runs. The D17 light is lit and the HEATER ON light is lit, LIM OK is off, no lights on control panel. 2 brand new Thermistors (79005,79006) both ohm at 8k at around 77*F, same as the old ones i removed. getting 120v to the board, no voltage to the heater. I am confident i have all jumpers and wires placed correctly according to the included documentation. occasionally the control panel red light will blink, another time the control panel read presumably the correct current temperature but did not respond to input. I suspect the main board i bought as 'new open box' is defective? I have a background in automotive and a fair amount of experience troubleshooting logic gate circuits but i need some advice in how to proceed before i go ahead and order another main board. edit: wanted to add that i have tried disconnecting both the heater and the jet pump and get the same behavior. also removed filter. if i unplug the control panel and restart, all 4 lights come on. Thanks in advance for any help.
  3. I inherited a 2008 hotsprings VV spa. We have cleaned it up, the heater, circulation pump, and everything seems to be working, but the jet pumps will not turn on. The power and ready lights are both solid. Is there something that I should be checking?
  4. I have a 2002 Hotsprings Landmark which developed a small drip from one of the pumps. A wavemaster 7000 jet pump ver 3, model 36675 vendor code 0207. I took it out to replace the seal and can't seem to find the correct seal anywhere. I've reached out to mutiple supply shops and they all send me the Watkins 71447 seal which does not work. My pump has the grey impeller and not the black one. So the seals are larger. Does anyone know the part# for the correct seal for this wet end? Or even the entire wet end assembly? I've attached photos of what I'm working with. Other the drip the pump works great.
  5. Hi everyone, I live in Toronto and have narrowed down my choices to the Sundance Edison and Hotspot Rhythm but can't seem to decide which one is better based on a few angles: 1. Insulation - which product has better insulation? 2. Reliability and operating life - which product lasts longer and seldom breaks? 3. Parts and repair - if the product breaks, which one is harder to look /afford for parts & service? 4. Filtration system - which is better CLEARRAY® UV-C Technology + Filtration or FROG® In-Line Cartridge Ready? 5. Monthly costs - which product is more expensive to maintain with having to purchase supplies for filters, chemicals, etc? Appreciate any help and information you can share. I'm looking to finalize my decision in the next 2 weeks. Thanks! Ryan Toronto
  6. Hello. I have a 2002 Hotspring Spa Prodigy that was in perfect working order. Yesterday I turned on the clean cycle and noticed a trickle of water coming out of the vent located at the bottom of the tub in the front corner on the left side of the tub (where the circular hole with wire mesh is). The leak can be varied in flow by adjusting the jet selector dial. The main compartment where the heater and controls are is dry but I noticed the black 3-way connector (with 2x 3/4" tubes and 1x 1/8" tube) has a little water in the vertical 3/4" tube and the 3/4" horizontal tube. Can anyone tell me what this three way pipe does and if this can be the cause of my new leak? I read somewhere that this pipe is no longer used in newer models. If this is the issue, what part do I need to order? I took pictures that you can view here: https://www.icloud.com/photostream/#A25yeZFhMx3GE Hopefully you can see the water I'm talking about. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide! Cheers! Alan
