  1. Hi all.... I'm new to this forum and I have a service question that the customer service manager at Artesian couldn't solve; also a spa repairman on site at my house couldn't solve. So I am hoping the collective wisdom & experience from this site might be able to uncover my mystery. I have had this issue for over a year -- I know, a whole year without my spa!! I have a 2006 Artesian Piper Glen (Platinum Series). In the spring of 2014 my spa stopped working. After some initial troubleshooting, I was instructed to purchase a new spa pack. So, I installed a new in.xm2 spa pack. When that didn't solve my issue, I was instructed that it could be my heater could be faulty. So I replaced that as well. CURRENT ISSUE: When I turn on the power, I am getting the blinking “SP-IN” error code but I can’t change anything. The “select” key is unresponsive, even after holding down the select key for 10-15 seconds. So I am unable to set the LL code to 28 (told to me by Gecko dealer through Artesian service dept). I have checked and rechecked the connections -- they are tight, no corrosion, etc all the way back to the main breaker. I have checked and rechecked the voltage. Here’s what I did and the results: Checked the voltage at the spa pack on the tops of the terminals (big bolts): o Hot#1 to white= 119.7v o Hot#2 to white= 120.0v o Hot#1 to Hot#2= 239.9v o White to ground=0.029v There is still no response when trying to press the “select” key for 2 sec, 5 sec, 30 sec. BTW, I have tried re-installing the old equipment as well. The Model & Serial numbers for the equipment are as follows: SPA: Model: Pipe Glen Serial #: 71505 Date: June 5, 2006 Control Panel: ink.600 NEW EQUIPMENT (currently installed): SPA PACK (in.xm2): Model: IN.XM1 (prod ID 0601-221104) Serial #: 141000748G IN.THERM: Model:IN.THERM-H4.0 (prod ID 0603-409001) Serial #: 132820202G In case you need to know... ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT (previously installed): SPA PACK (in.xm): Model: IN.XM1 (prod ID 0601-221010) Serial #: 060531571 IN.THERM: Model:IN.THERM-H4.0 (prod ID 0603-416001) Serial #: 060411581 Does this make any sense to anyone?? Thanks for taking the "challenge" /Joe
  2. My J385 is stuck in watch dog mode. No noise nothing. I tested the temp sensor and Hi Lo sensor and they both seemed bad. I have replaced both and still nothing. If i disconnect the (J6) sensor plug from the circuit board and power up i get the relevant set of error codes as though all the sensors are missing. Tested the new sensors and they seem fine, i must be missing something. Rest of the circuit board seems fine, no bulging caps, no burnt out components. Any help greatly appreciated, may also be worth mentioning the flo sensor was replaced a few months ago.
  3. I have a problem with my hot tub is a Caldera..., I have this code showing up and I don't know what it means or what it needs to be replace is a star with dashes top and lower *-_-_-_-_ I don't have this code on my manual please help.
  4. Hi - Frequent guest, first time asking for help. Thanks in advance and thanks for past help as a "browser"! 2006 Jacuzzi J325 owner here, bought from used spa dealer 3 years ago. Recent issue: working fine ( about 1 month past most recent water change) but came out to find the dreaded Watch Dog dashes error. Shut breaker off: upon power up, observed OH error code very briefly, temp was 102 (verified this, felt correct), red heater light comes on as though it's trying to get up to it's set temp of 104. With panel off, I'm hearing what sounds like the circ pump trying to come on, but it never does. ( This circ pump has been a bit noisy over the past year so I've been suspecting it could fail soon). If I leave it alone for several minutes, the watch dog dashes appear and the tub is locked. Rinse repeat, same events but obviously the temp is starting to drop over the last 2 days of testing. Currently low 90's ( we're in Phx, high ambient temps). So here's a detail: If I reboot as above and attempt to turn on the main pumps ( low and hi) they both work and the tub will operate with main pumps/ jets going for approx 5 min.....then watchdog kicks in and we start over. All the while, that circ pump never seems to come on in any circumstance. Steps: Tested temp sensor ( replaced this 1 year ago) Good . Have a spare. It's good as well. Tested ohm reading based on a guide found here on this site.....both switches seemed correct for the temp at the time. Tested Hi Limit switch ( ohm reading was about right for water temp at the time) Flo Switch "looks" like it's working correctly but can't be certain. Replaced this 1 year ago. Caps on control board "look" ok...not obviously bulging but I'm no expert. Fuse looks ok, but again...no expert here. So I leave it to the pros.....am I suspecting the circ pump without due cause ( just because it's been noisy and seems to be struggling) or am I missing something else? Thanks in advance!
  5. I have a hot spot hot tub that has an error code upsidedown fLOC and do not know how to fix it. Any suggestions? Additionally when I do try to change anything I get dashes on the top and the bottom of the whole display.
  6. I may have caused a lroblem because i emptied the hot tub and forgot to turn odf the electric for a bit. However, problem now is when i turned the hot tub back on after filling it up completely it read 42 then 24 then pr. Then after a few minutes i thought it was running. That didnt last but a minute and then the code dr showed up and stayed. So as the book suggested i shut it off for well over 15 min. Turned it back on and the same thing again. Please help!!
