My question is about Ecopur filter and ozone maker that’s in a Master Spa.
I keep reading on BookFace in the MS pages.
that’s the Ecopur and ozone’s make the Dichlor chlorine disappear over night.
folks ask. “Why when I add chlorine (no telling how much), it’s gone the next day” then the repy is the “Ecopur uses up the chlorine. Not to worry about that and don’t add any till next week” And “just use non chlorine shock after every use. “ till next week.
or it will be the same if the question is about ozone.
I find this hard to believe about the Ecopur.
for course most of them use test strip.
I use a drop test. I see chlorine the next day. When I add and test the next day. now if we use the tub the chlorine it is low. Just 2of us. 30-60mim soak.
so is this BS that the Ecopur will always use up the chlorine. ?
or is the chlorine used up because of the kooties in their spa ?
help me understand thanks
they drive this regiment also:
We tell our customers to add enough
chlorine to achieve a 2-3 ppm level
once a week and utilize a non chlorine
spa shock after use. The spa shock
helps reactivate the dichlor in the
water and burns it off.
Your CYA
levels will increase if dichlor is
constantly added and is not burned
off. It will cause your TDS level to rise
and eventually render your chemicals
ineffective leading you to drain the
unit. Also high levels of CYA can
cause a chemical reaction with the
copper in the eco out filter and
produce a purple crystallization in your
water, which again, you would have to
drain the unit.
