  1. I have a Dynasty spa with Gecko in.xe control pack and in.k1000 controller. Display shows WARNING! DO NOT ENTER SPA Temp probes/detect. circuit defect. in.K1000 manual says for error messages on-screen list and definitions to refer to the troubleshooting and error codes section of the TechBook for your spa pack system. in.xe spa pack Tech book manual doesn't have the same error code or message listed but the closest thing I can find is PRR code indicating problem with regulation probe. Tech book troubleshooting indicates: For the in.ye, in.yt and in.xe control systems: • Verify that the regulation and overheat captor probe (situated over the heater) are plugged in correctly. • Replace the water heater if the problem persists. • Replace the control system if the problem persists. I have cycled the power on and off a few times but error persists. My question is, is this the correct troubleshooting for the code on the in.k1000 controller? If so, is that really all that really all that can be done? There is no parts to replace? Check connections and if that is the all good then the spa pack or controller need replacement? I should also mention spa pack was replaced this spring under Gecko 50% warranty after the last one failed after 5 years due to bad capacitiors on the low voltage board and was stuck in boot up loop. I believe this spa pack would still be under 1 year replacement warranty if found to be the issue. Thanks for any help that can be offered.
  2. My Gecko in.k1000 controller is stuck in an initializing boot up loop. From searching online all indications are it's the low voltage board. A few questions related to it. The low voltage board is in the spa pack, not the controller? Correct? What are my options, seems I have a few that vary by price, what is the easiest? Unfortunately here in Edmonton the weather currently is heading for overnight lows of -24°C. 1. Replace Entire Spa Pack ~$750 2. Replace the Spa Pack Low Voltage Board ~ $620 3. From another thread found on this site. Replace the 5600 UF 25V capacitor mentioned here by @Sebast for much less. Is failure of the 5600 UF the common cause of failure on the boards or is other troubleshooting needed? Thanks for any assistance.
