Aeration - When To Use It When Balancing Ph And Ta?

my ph is too high and the ph decreaser says to turn the aerator off when you put it in. I just got my jacuzzi and I am in the learning phase still. I don’t know if I have an aerator. I don’t see anything in the instruction manual. Can you help me Paulette
