I have a pool heater Starite Max E-Therm 400 heater that is not working. It is about 4 yrs old.
The Service Heater light is on. I took the heater apart and looked under the panel to see which light is on. The SFS light is on. I replaced the Flue Stack sensor. I then powered up the heater and the SFS light is still on. I reviewed all of the connections to see if they are good, which they appear to be. I reviewed all of the wiring to be sure that the wiring was good. I do not have any signs of mice chewing on the wires. (Previously I had this and I put a wire mesh around the openings of the housing).
I should point out that about a month ago the heater would not turn on at all. The display board would not light up. I figured the control board had gotten wet so I placed a large plate on it to act as an umbrella. After it stopped raining and everything dried out the heater came back on, but with this problem showing up.
Any suggestions?
