  1. You did remove all pumps, blowers, heater, lights, and the ozone... any one of these will cause.. if you have removed all , you can use a hair dryer like Hillbilly said. you should be able to remove the screws that hold the board to the box to see the back of it...
  2. pressure switch should be on the heater to the right side of the control box, it may need to be adjusted, if still having the problem with the filters out os the spa...
  3. is there still any moisture in the spa pak, that can cause it, you could remove the incoming wires from the spa cap the ends. Flip the power on if it stays then something still in the tub, Heater, Pump, Moisture still at the spa pak or pumps or heater,,,if the breaker trips then problem on that side possibly time to replace the breaker.
  4. It won't matter. The wood frame will last the life of the tub. Anyone who says steel, composite or whatever is better is spinning their latest offering. I agree with Roger on this. It will be a non issue on the frame. But, last year Hot Spring was using a metal frame I believe, and now they have switched back to the wood frame. Does any Watkins guy know the reason why they changed back to the wood frame? i agree with both Roger and Waterboy on this, tubs with wood frames built 20 years ago are still around, its just like all the other things on spas that someone else does not have , just another sales spin,,, But like Waterboy asked why they are not using anymore,,, is it cost to produce,???
  5. kimifan, I am a little confused here, You have a Caldera hot tub, not a pool right.. But Have a question you said the electronics failed and caused the spa to freze.. What happened ? also how long were you gone for it to freeze, How did it break the spa, Up were i am in the cold in the winter, if power is lost it takes a while for that to happen, I have seen were a spa lost power and the things that froze was the heater unions which ending up cracking and allowing most of the water to drain out...
  6. SHOWEM, great spa ,, you will really enjoy it, let us know after you have put in and have used it...
  7. Olympic, No problem , We llok forward to delivering your new D1 spa....
  8. There are similiaraties to the 3 they all filter water throught the filter before going into the pumps and heater,, The Sundance uses a horizontal filter, suctions on each end with a skimmer door that goes up and down, they use a microclean part on one side of the filter and is needed to be replaced regulary. could add to the cost of maintenance. also they are the only company to use a horizontal filter,, i believe they also still use a suction fitting undser the filter as a bypass, D1 Dennis hit the D1 right one. The Hot Springs, generally has more filters, they use a tri-x filter which can go a lttle longer just alot more cost when it is time to purchase,, similiar to the D1 they have one filter designated for the 24/7 circ pump the others are for pumps. All work well, Both the D1 and the Ht Springs use vertical filters, IMO a vertical system will filter better, in other industrys most filter are vertical and at 45 degree, on a vertical filter as water is being pulled into the filter it created a vortex, just like your sink or toilet,, no need for anything special to fput above the filters. as the water is coming sdown i believe your filter will be used all the way on a horizontal look at one on a showroom, it will be darker on the top then taper off to the middle. All these use ozone systems, all have the 24 /7 circ, Ozone is injected differetny in the 3 , I believe the D1 is the only one that has a 3 chamber u.v system and does not off gas into the main body of water. Hop this helps you out... good luck on the hunt for a tub
  9. John, Just wanted to thank you for coming in and checking us out, Thanks for the purchase of your D1 Wayfarer, you will be happy with that spa...
  10. Hes been called out, sounds like Master sales type stuff, they get called out and don't come back....whas up wit tat!!! Term morn'n hows things down their....
  11. roger you rasically rabbit,,,,, CASPAGUY is also on whats the best site as well,,, I just noticed that had this on there that Cal is giving away a spa, now asking about how good Coleman is, and this originally was a contest....If you are a salesman just come out and say so... We see this all the time.. no big deal... BUt if you NOT,, whats up.
  12. CASPAGUY, Coleman spas are not built by Coleman the company that makes great things for camping... The Name has bounced around in the last several years... Now Cal Spas is making the spas for them, It basically is a Cal Spas with the COleman label on it , the seating has a few changes to give a little different look. IMO i don't think they are even close to the same class as D1 , Sundance, Hot Springs, Jacuzzi. Etc...Check out there warranty, in comparison, As for market share, The new Coleman spas just launched in January, Market Share aint there and i do not expect them to get the market share. I believe there are too many spas that have been around a l0ong time and have held there own,,,
  13. SHOWEM, your looking at three great brands if i had to pick comparables to the Chairman, Sundance Cameo, and the Hot Springs Vista would be the closest, But again on the D1 the comparable is the Californian with the Chairman a bump up so it will be more money, The Californian would be there in the price range...Also when looking check out the filter systems, the water management systems, as well, you will see some differences there.
  14. I would agree. , For free cannot go wrong, But if i was buying a new spa , i would look at the top tier, D1, Hot Springs, Sundance, Jacuzzi, etc...
  15. life10, Have you seen the spa in person,,, was it on a sales floor?, Have you been looking at tubs? Have you looked at other brands? If so how did you narrow it down to the specific Caost model? Just curouis
  16. jjk90 If you called all of us out, We did not hear....But as i have read this thread,, there are a couple of things i see. 1. you are a newbie that is talking about Master, thats the first red flag 2. If you lost power and it was only 2 weeks and it froze, Not very well insulated tub, I live in the Northwest we have people lose power, and i have not seen this happen after 3 weeks, 4 weeks maybe,,,by that time i have tthe customer start draining it if it is going to be that long,, We had ice storm several years ago, people were out of power 3- 5 weeks, We did not have one customer lose the tub to freezing,,, We had customer who up here have a secondary home and could not even get in here 3 years ago with all the snow. only one had some freezing but nothing happenend to the spa.. But my biggest point here is that anytime there is a newbie on here for Master, they are usually commenting that they are the best, and their facts are not right and when questioned they disappear.. But it has never been on here that their product is crap. The issue was the sales tactics from the traveling spa show...if you check into it more i believe that is what you will see...That is my problem its the practice not the product.. Roger, Kreg , and myself have been on here a long time,, We may not always see eye to eye but i think you will see wew are all very passionate about the industry..
  17. On the pumps usually you will see it say that 1 pump for jet or 2 for jets and 1 circ pump,, spas without a circ pump use the low speed on pump one as the filter cycle. On the foam and thermal chambers both have points to them,,,
  18. Olympic, No problem, glad we can help, Look forward to hearing from you...
  19. Roger good point on that,,,,..by the way hows your weather on your side of the mountain?
  20. Olympic, I would like to invite you into our store in the Spokane Valley, At Falcos, We would like to help you out with a spa, If you have read any of my posts , I am not a fan of the Costco spas... Service, service ,service,,, Also if you look at the spas they sell hard to purchase without sitting in the seats, Check out the warranty only 2 years on plumbing and electrical, and 1 year on labor,,,,If you compare this with the top tier brands you will see why it is important to buy from a dealer( local) things you need to look at as a company to deal with,: Is the company you deal with Spasearch certified spa retailer by independent audit company, Delivery, orientation, In house service department, service programs, length of time company in business....You can contact me any time.. I also the different styles of spas with insulation, Full Foam, Thermal Chamber, Roxul, and Fiberglass, the reason for the different ones, i can tell you first hand how each work in our area, since we sell the different styles, NOt that we sell one and it is better than others with other companies not having any experiance with the different types Thanks Eric
  21. depending on were you are located , if you have a local hot tub cover company they can make it. otherwise your local spa dealer should have a place were they order covers from and should be able to get no problem..
  22. on the price it is going to depend on the area, west coast or east coast, cost for freight, as well , but with that said the dealer several hundred miles away could be different on price than the other for, promos like you said the cost of it is built into the price of the spa, also the dealers will price the spas on what the market will allow... You might check some other hi end brands for comparison pricing, like D1, Jacuzzi, Hot Springs, Marquis..toi name a few,, see what there comparables are and that may give a better idea on the price as well,,,
