  1. SpaTech Can I ask one more question ? My Waterway/Magnetek 3 horse motor has two capacitors on it. I thought the larger one on top was the startup which I want to replace while its out. But the smaller one on the end has the same numbers as I ordered. 53-64 mfd and 220-250 vac. Which one is the Start Cap.? thanks dm
  2. I have not pulled this out yet as I would like the parts on hand before I start. The above Magnetek 2 horse motor seems to require a 10000379 bearing. That appears to be a 6203 single seal bearing. However some assurance this is correct would be nice before I order a pair. thanks don
  3. One more question. Would it hurt anything to cut the old bearings off the armature/rotor with a small cut-off wheel. Provision would have to be done to protect windings of course. Or just go get a new puller?? (old one got abused)
  4. No it is working fine but does show some previous minor leaking. I am replacing bearings and thought I would just slip in a new wet end since its pretty old.
  5. Thanks for the quick response. I now have 1,2,and 3hp as answers to my question. I think you nailed it with 2hp. I did the calculation with input voltage and amp and it's 2.6 or so horsepower. Probably isn't super critical..I mainly use the low side of this motor for circulation and heating. Thanks CanadianSpaTech
  6. Replacing Wet End but have not removed the pump yet. Would like to have new Wet End ordered and here before draining spa. I am confused about HP rating The motor is two speed Magnetek mated to a Waterway, 230 volt with amp ratings of 8.5 /2.4 I am told this would need a 1 horse wet end. Others say a 3hp would work if rated for a 8.5 amp motor. Which is it?? thanks don
