I am hoping To find answers and advice here. I used the chemicals as directed!!!!!! I test almost everyday, just to make sure sanitized is correct. im on here to find an alternative to chemicals and see about what the ionizer has done for others. These chemicals are killing me. Every time I get out of hot tub I have ( spa lungs) for at least 2 weeks. this is not good!!!!!! I simply love love my hot tub! My cousin said” if someone doesn’t pick this thing up soon, I am going to cut it up with a chainsaw. Tub had frozen and pipes had busted. Everything is replaced and working well. I rebuilt 1 motor lol. the first 3 months went very well! No complaints. Until the end of 3 rd month. Like the chemicals wouldn’t work like normal. Cleaned filters, emptied tub. Cleaned tub. Filled back up with clean water, added Chemicals. Waited a couple days to get back in due to lungs. Checked balance of everything. Everything checked out correctly. Got in to enjoy for a couple hours. now I’m almost 2 weeks in with hot tub lung again. i do have it closed in. The top of rafters can breathe all around. Daylight is about 3” all the way around building advice, help, I don’t want to give up hot tub!!! I love it!!!!! but I’m not going to keep using it ,if it’s going to give me lung damage. do I need different kind of chemicals beside bleach and Muriatic acid? All other chemicals are from spa pure.
