  1. I have 440 gal, HT and I live in North Idaho where December/January temperatures are frequently below freezing. I typically test the chemistry every two weeks, but if I lower the temperature to the minimum 80F can I get away for not adding chemicals/testing for 30 days. Emptying the tub is not really an option. I would appreciate any other advice. Thanks
  2. You were right, 4kw. Thanks. Heater: 4.0 kw Titanium Balboa #55625 | Thermal Hydra Plastics (divinehottubs.com)
  3. I looked on the heater and it has no separate amp rating. I'm familiar with the KW to watts conversion. I have a call into Balboa and Devine. Thanks.
  4. I have a Costco Devine Sinclaire 3 pump tub rated at 48 amps and it's on a 50amp breaker. I need to know what the heater amp draw is without the pumps. It's not in the manual and Devine hasn't called back yet. Thanks.
  5. Turns out I inadvertently put the controller in setup mode and assigned the pump 3 button to flip screen. All fixed and done. Thanks.
  6. I took great care of the tub this winter in North Idaho, but I just noticed pump 3 is not turning on. Are there any trouble shooting steps I can take (manual says bupkis) before I call a technician? The first error code 1.08 appeared, then upon subsequent presses the 1.6L appears. The manual has no error code listings, but it should. Thanks.

  8. Due to the malfeasance of someone in my household whom shall remain nameless, my 440gal. spa reached an alkalinity level of 280ppm. I treated yesterday with SpaGuard pH Decreaser sodium bisulfate (SB) and it's now down to 240ppm. I know I need to get to 80-120 ppm, so, my questions are: 1. How much of the SB can I add dissolved in a pail of water at a time and how long after the application do I need to wait before testing? Any other advice would be appreciated. TIA.
  9. Ok, thanks but I was thinking of setting the temp manually, it's much easier. I just lowered it 80 degrees, the lowest setting. Thanks.
  10. I have a two year old Costco Divine Sinclaire 3 pump spa. I won't be using it for several months and want to know the best storage temp to maximize energy efficiency, yet prevent freezing. What's the best temperature to set? Thanks.
  11. It is a Balboa pack. After letting it sit all night I cycled all the breakers again including the subpanel GFCI test and it booted up. We get some goofy power spikes here and that could possibly have been the culprit. Thanks for the excellent analysis and quick response. Nearest tech is a $300 trip charge away, so I'll be relying on this forum if I have problems in the future. Last week I replaced a leaking slice valve coupler myself. Thanks again.
  12. Last night the 2.5 year old tub (so out of warranty) shut off and the panel went dark. I cycled the main breaker and the subpanel 50amp breaker with no impact. The manual also says to check the fuse which I believe is a 7amp for the pumps. Before I take the panel off and start checking things, any advice? Thanks.
