  1. Nah. I just dumped and refilled and water is crystal clear (I did a Chemical spa purge too) Hopefully just had issues with biofilm
  2. Would I be better off swapping the salt system out and putting an ozonator in instead? my dealers been pretty great and is offering to swap it out at no charge. Seems so much lower maintenance (no salt needed, no calcium hardness bag, no oxidizer shock, just sanitizer as needed....)
  3. That’s the manufacturers recommendations from hot springs to be 25 - 75 hardness but personally i find the salt system to be a useless gimmick, id rather have Clear water than Add chlorine to the tub Less frequently.
  4. I Can’t have my hardness above 75 for the salt system. The dealer actually wants me at 25 what about water clarifiers? Do those work?
  5. Still figuring out how to get my water to stay clear. The water is clear after sitting overnight, but if I turn the jets on for 30 seconds, the water clouds up. When I turn it off, the water stays cloudy for at least an hour. This is without even going in Ph 7.5 Alk 80 Hardness 75 free chlorine 3-5 ppm Freshwater salt system, and salt is also in recommended range Use oxidizer after each use and weekly Tub is 3 weeks old, so I don’t think it’s a filter issue, and I’ve rinsed the filters already last weekend. I added some baking powder a week ago for a low ph (yes I’m a dumbass an realize it should have been baking soda) and noticed the cloudiness got really bad after that. Is that my problem? Any thoughts would be appreciated!
  6. Thanks. I’ve heard that regular old bleach is actually better than liquid chlorine meant for pools. Is this true? Or there a specific type of liquid chlorine I should be looking for?
  7. I tested my cyanuric acid and the levels are high, around 150 ppm any chance I could have a chlorine lock? Chlorine is still going undetectable after 1-2 days of adding the granules
  8. Salt was somewhere between 1750 ppm and the more concentrated box (want to say 1250?)
  9. How do you have phosphate tested? Can’t find a test strip that includes it and what do I do if they are high
  10. 2 week old tub, have the salt Levels at the correct range have my output set at the max (10) round the clock. still, chlorine levels drop to 0 after every 2 days. I’ve been using granular chlorine to bring levels back to 5 ppm, but the salt system doesn’t seem to be ramped up yet. ph is 7.2, alk 80, hardness 75
  11. It’s a 2020 model so I don’t think that should apply. Even if it was a floor model (which I would assume I’d be informed of), I would expect working condition
  12. just had a new 2020 vanguard hot springs installed Tuesday. After doing the chemicals, etc, Tub worked great for one use on Wednesday. However on Wednesday night I noticed the indicator light on the front panel died. no big deal, dealer came right out and fixed it Thursday while I was at work. Thursday when I got home to look, the Blue power indicator light is off and the control panel is dead. Flipped the power off and on, and the indicator lights came back up. Controls worked for a second. However, An hour later when I went for a soak, the buttons on the docking station were dead (Not working and not backlit) and my remote was frozen. Restarted the remote, and now it’s not able to locate the spa. So now I have a functionless hot tub (it’s still heating and there’s power to the front panel indicator light and for some reason the exterior lights are on, but the controls are functionless) dealer came back today and says we need a new control panel, but now I have to wait the weekend... is this normal? I thought by paying top dollar I would be getting a premium product. Seems like a finnicky hunk of garbage so far...
