  1. My husband and I are considering Bullfrog spas and for the cost savings we are looking at the R over the A series. My husband is concerned that there will not be enough lighting in the R models. I know for sure there are no exterior lights on the R, but are the interior lights the same between the 2 models? Does anyone that has an R model feel there is sufficient lighting at night? We are also looking at X and that seems to have good lighting. Of course this is not our only deciding factor but we are just trying to make an informed decision on if it is worth splurging for the A over the other 2 and haven't seen an R in person.
  2. So we started actually looking and decided to up our budget up to $8k max. We are in the western suburbs of Chicago. I did eventually find some used but we decided we would rather avoid that route. Surprisingly most of the dealers here are the bigger chain stores (American Sale and Great Escape). We looked at and liked some of the Viking models at Great Escape which we could get for our budget ($5k and $6k). We also saw some Bullfrog in our range but those didn't seem as comfortable from just sitting in them. They also have Sundance. I didn't look at those but according to the GE website they do have some in the 680 series in our price range range. We are going to look at a dealer that has Nordic which I think may be in our range. They also carry Coast, Dynasty, and Hawaiian Breeze but I'm no sure if those will be in our range or not. I should add that while this will be for enjoyment, but husband has issues with sore joints and muscles all the time so we want it for therapeutic reasons also. Unfortunately we can't wet test right now because of Covid. There are pretty much no tubs to be found now anyway so hopefully wet tests will resume at some point. Thoughts on any of those brands to help us narrow our search?
  3. I've been looking and don't see any for sale in my area.
  4. We are looking to buy our first hot tub and want something decent but don't need a lot of bells and whistles like a sound system, etc. My husband and I will be the ones using it 95% of the time but would like to be able to fit 4 or 5 adults comfortably. Can we get something decent for $4-6,000 or will tubs at that price be total crap that will need to go in the garbage in a year or two? Thanks!
