  1. Thank you - I wonder if I should try and patch it (even as an applique) just to keep out any insects? Thoughts? Also - to be clear - the base itself is solid... it's just what seems to be a plywood piece that seems to bridge the base and the outer plastic cover and probably covers any insulation.
  2. I have a 2008 HotSpring Jetsetter. It sits high on a deck and I've developed some wood rot or insect damage (not sure which) along one side as follows. The main tub sits on a base which is slightly smaller than then dimension of the tub with side panels. See attached photo. The wood perpendicular to the side panel and the base is rotted out in a couple of spots - seems spongy pn that side. I am not aware of any leaks, though it is directly under the now inoperable motomassage and I've heard of leakage there - so maybe. Regardless, how do I get to that and what's the best way to repair it. What am I dealing with? Anyone have pics of the thing on its side? Seems like it was plywood? Base seems solid. Side comment - this is my second HotSpring tub - has one of the old 'dog dish' models fondly known as the dog dish. It was about 10 times better than this one. The quality seems to have really dropped on these. Thanks to all in advance!
