I own a Hot Spring with the Ace system. It does really improve the water experience, smell, and maintenance time. Your chlorine level is less, and it really helps with the feel of the water. You don't feel that you need to shower, because you smell like a hot tub. There is a learning curve with anything new. It is not designed to save you money, and the cell life span is anywhere from 18 months up to 4 years. Depends on care and usage. Definitely worth the investment for us. Good Luck!
