  1. Where can I get a line coupler and hose that is suitable for a hot tub? I’ll look up the thickness, but want to make sure to get the correct types.
  2. The jet front is bad and it’s impossible to get replacements. Jacuzzi told me to replace the complete jet. Any thoughts on how to remove the hoses?
  3. I’ve managed to claw my way to the jet, and I have to remove the hoses now. I’m worried about breaking the clips and/or hoses. What’s the proper method for getting these off? I’m thinking about loosening the clip and shimmying it over so it’s not gripping the jet, but would that tear into the hose (or would shimmying the clip break the clip)? The hose is too stuck on for me to pull it off with the clip there, or perhaps I need to loosen more / pull harder? Guidance appreciated.
  4. Trying to replace some jet housings and I’ve opened up my Jacuzzi J-LX. The spray foam is very tough to manually remove. Should I just keep prying at it? I need to remove the foam on the hoses as well as the jets. Any risk of breaking the hoses? Any better way? Also, can someone identify if this open or closed cell foam in the pictures?
  5. Thank you!!!! Funny b/c I spoke to a rep from that website and they couldn't tell me what part it was. This is exactly what I needed.
  6. I'm thinking it might be 6551-060M, but I can't find any pictures or full descriptions.
  7. I was removing the siding on my 2013 Jacuzzi J-LX in order to replace a jet. To remove the siding, I have to unscrew the metal corner piece with 3 screws on one side and beneath that is a plastic corner piece with 3 screws on the other side. The plastic corner piece has cracks. How do I replace that? I can't find any siding replacement parts at all. Thanks!
  8. I finally spoke to Jacuzzi - from 20093-001, I need to replace the complete jet (back and front) and recommended replacement is 6541-288 with 6541-634 ring. (Note, Jacuzzi had used 6541-566 for a while but that is not what is recommended to replace it with now).
  9. It’s from 2013 (I believe late 2013). The jet is discontinued. But I was told the inserts are compatible… struggling to confirm if that is true.
  10. Here's what I pulled out (these pieces are broken; the picture of what remains is above):
  11. I have some broken spa jets (20093-001), and I've ordered the replacement 6541-288. I was told the inserts were compatible. Is that true? If that isn't true, which it seems not to be considering what I've managed to pull apart so far. Do I now have to take the spa wall off and replace the whole mechanism (connecting the spa pipes and such)? Thanks for any help, Noah What's left of the old one after I managed to remove the top piece, and after are pics of the new insert.
  12. A new kit, and measuring immediately after adding resolved the problem. Looks like chlorine goes away pretty quickly if there is lots of bacteria. So I suspect the first time I added, the chlorine got used up and was all gone before the next time I tested it. Now I can measure it properly. Noah
  13. 390 gal hot tub can’t measure free mchlorine. Added 5 scoops of R-0870 and still no pink. New Taylor kit and chemicals. Hot tub was unused for many months. Added multiple spoonfuls of Clorox pool and spa chlorinating granules and ran jets. Anything else I should do?
  14. I now have the submersible pump and AhhSome. have spent a couple hours reading and trying to begin, but I've got more questions. I'm trying to check chlorine levels to make sure I have "adequate sanitizer" as directed by AhhSome. I have R-0870 which expired 7/17, and using that with 5 scoops in 10ml of water I still don't see any pink. I'm wondering if it went bad. But then again, I haven't added chlorine or done any maintenance in the 6 months since I've owned the spa. I just added 3tsp of chlorinating granules to try and see if I can get a pink response. Does this sound reasonable? Perhaps buying a new testing kit is the better route? It looks like all chemicals in the kit expired this month or last month (except R-0870 which expired 6 months ago). Thanks again, Noah
