  1. Good day! I am from Saskatchewan, where we are right now it is -37C today, however 2 days ago we were -4 or -7C so I decided it would be a good time to drain it! So I did, I drained it, cleaned it etc. Checked the jets.... when I got to the light, I noticed something. I noticed inside the light there was water, then on the outer shell of the light, I noticed someone must have done a hack job and put some silicone there. I went to go turn it slightly and it knocked more silicone off it... so I stopped touching it. Filled it up, the next day I went outside and noticed there was a minor leak coming from the side of the hottub where the previous owner must have pulled out the insulation to get to the light previously. (It's leaking from where that little bit of silicone came off when I turned it with the light tool) This is where it gets tricky... I have two options but I don't know what to do because I am a hot tub beginner. 1. I can drain it again, and use this Aladdin Magic lube that my hot tub dealer gave me to put around the light to stop the leak until it gets warmer here in Saskatchewan. Then fill it back up and hope its okay.. until the summer time where I can actually keep the hot tub off for a day without worrying about freezing temperatures. 2. I can just drain the entire thing completely, shop vac the lines out etcetc... However I have NEVER done this before and doing it in the winter time actually scares me. - Draining it literally takes less then an hour and then filling it up doesn't take long. I've already cleaned it I just need to silicone that light. Is there ANY suggestions on what else I could possibly do? If not, then I will just have to drain it and hope to god that this Aladdin Magic Lube (PTFE Based) Sealant will hold till summer time. My beachcomber dealer kept telling me to just 'top it up' until the winter eventually subsides and then to "come back to the store", but heck no.. Its going to be cold for another month or so and I am having to top it up every other day.
