Newby here--again-- Had some calcium buildup on surfaces--alkalinity around 180..ph looked ok, 7.8 by the color chart, which I hate but shows OK... but Jacuzzi salesperson says 7.8 too high..So I bought a 200.00 Lamotte elextronic test kit. Have done 3 PH downs so far, PH still 7.8, but alkalinity now 106...According to this tester PH hasnt budged, but alkalinity plummeting... Just trying to eliminate sandpapery feel on the seats...Keep trying PH down?? Thank you!!

Man---wife and I just got out of our month old Jacuzzi J325. I restarted the jets to add some shock oxidizer, and same thing. Jets come on for just a few seconds, stops, pulses on, stops..Didnt mean to hijack your thread, but it was literally first thing I saw after logging in. In my case, only 1 pump, and if I divert to the front seats it stops surging. Diverting to the back it surges, and center position surges. I shut off power at the breaker and restarted it, no change. Any suggestions would be appreciated..Sorry again Jay-maybe we can both get some help

Just bought a Jacuzzi J325 4 person hot tub. Filling to just below the headrests, when my wife and I enter the tub, the water level is above the bottom of the headrests and air switches. I lowered the level so the 2 of us wont submerge the switches. But that lowering put the unoccupied spa water to barely above the skimmer opening. How can we ever get 4 people in?Can I lower the level more and take the filter cover off while not in use so the pumps wont be run dry during auto cycles? Thanks
