  1. How much regular clorox bleach do you need to raise the FC by 1PPM in a 400 gallon hot tub?
  2. A jetted cement spa next to swimming pool shares the water and filtration and sanitation of the pool. It only requires heating as needed and since it only takes 20 minutes to warm up why have to have the heat on all the time. Of course if you are up north you will not get as much use as a hot tub, as pools usually close after labor day up north or shortly there after, I live in Florida so either way I can use a spa of either kind year round.
  3. most concrete spa's around a pool are not heated all the time they typically have a gas(lp or Nat gas ) heater which takes about 20 to 25 minutes to heat the water, unlike a true hot tub where theya re heated all the time. I had one for 15 years no cover is needed.
  4. Onsen Thank you. Does the roughly 1:1 ratio also apply to Dichlor?
  5. How much hydrogen peroxide is needed to neutralize a 400 gallon tub , before draining??
  6. try holding down the back button for a few seconds
  7. What has been your experience from a reliability standpoint. Customer support from the MFG? Quality of the materials, controls jets etc?
  8. Does anyone on the forum own a Maax or Clearwater spa? is so how has your experience been?
  9. Are Maax hot tubs any good. They have steel frames w life time warranty , 10 years on vessel 7 years on shell surface and 5 on equipt 2 3hp 2 speed 56 frame continuos pumps no circ pmp.lifetime insulation warranty
  10. I have narrowed my search down to these two, I like the Clearwater because of the construction no wood, not foam filled easier to find leaks and longer warranty 3 pumps plus circ I like the dealer for Hotsprings and am considering the Grandee NXT or Envoy NXT they don't have as many jets as tghe clearwater and not too many postions have leg jets. I like their control system. HS has 2 pumps plus circ both appear to have good 100% filtration Hotsprings claims you only have to change the water yearly, Clearwater 3 or 4 x a year. The other spas I considered is the Marquis but the dealer is 60 miles away the other two dealers service my area about 20 miles away. Please let me know about the construction of the Clearwater tradition or orlando models vs the hotsprings and full foam vs not and no wood. I am in Florida so cold is not a big issue Also what about Maax they also do not use foam and have a steel frame? Thank You
