  1. We purchased a pool from Wave Tec Pools back in June of 2005. We were told that we would be swimming by Labor Day weekend. Labor Day came and went and we still had no pool. We called numerous of times and basically got the run around from the company. They gave us one excuse after another. Some of those excuses consisted of not enough contractors in my area, they lost our permit, they are changing out personel in the office, the person you need to talk to is out the office today, they are having a cement shortage, cant't get a hold of your contractor, our phone lines have been down, the list goes on. Sometimes we would call and would not here from them for days after leaving numerous messages. We finally had material delivered in late Novemeber. Pool construction did not take place until the second week of December. Not due to any weather delays the pool was not finished until late January. The contractor worked only when he felt like it. This is when are problems only seem to get worse. They dumped the dirt that they extracted from the pool all over my yard. We asked the contarctor several times to remove the dirt from our yard and he kept saying I will, someone is coming with a dump truck. Weeks went by and the dirt became rock. He spread the dirt in areas that should not have been affected by the construction of the pool. A month after the pool was constructed, and several phone calls to the contractor and to Wave Tec, they came back out and removed some of the dirt. In the process of the dirt being spread over the yard and lifted back up, our yard has suffered major damamge. They tore up our sprinkler sytem as well as killed our landscaping. We are stuck with $3500 in damamges to our yard. We were asked by Wave Tec to get bids, we did and sent those to them. As I mentioned above the damages totaled $3500, Wave Tec offered to settle with $1000. We argued that this was not right, they came back saying that would give us $1500 and that was their final offer. Take it or leave it. We actually have that phrase from them in a contract that they tried to get us to sign. We then decided to get a Lawyer, and did not sign. On top of the yard damamges, we have two nice size cracks in the decking, the dirt around and under the pool has already shifted, and the pool is not level. We have had several local companies come out and estimate the damamges and all 4 of these companies say the pool needs to come out. It cannot be fixed unless it is started from ground zero. We shared are story with the local media which you can view @ www.team4news.com click on news, then pool problems. We are going to proceed with our other local stattion this week as well with a spanish station in our area for our spanish speaking families. I want to make sure that people here in the Valley will NOT go through what my family has encountered. This was supposed to be a dream come true for us and has led to a nightmare. These people are CROOKS and need to be put out of business. We are in the process of dealing with our attorney, the BBB and the Attorney Generals Office. Please do not be mislead by the company on the BBB. They are listed with two names, Wave Tec Pools and Wave Tec Pools Inc. If you check with the first name on their site you will find that they have 84 complaints, if you check with the second name (which is on their contract) they have 0 complaints. Like I said this compamny is only after your money, not to fullfill anyones dreams like their commerical states. I have more pictures if you would like to see ANOTHER YARD MESSED UP BY WAVE TEC POOLS INC, just email and I will glad to send those to you. hdpena72@yahoo.com

  3. My family and I are faced with the same situation. On top of swimming pools repairs, we have extensive yard damage $3500.00. We as well have noticed that the water level on our pool has gone down a lot. We are in the process of having another pool company come out and inspect the pool. Our pool is not even level. We had nothing but trouble since day one with this company. We as well signed our papers back in June of 2005, they told us we would be swimming by Labor Day weekend. Not, that is when we began payments on something we had nothing to show for. It was not until late November that the material was delivered and they broke ground in December, pool finished in late January. No weather delays to speak of just nobody was working. This has been the worst nightmare for us as well. We are seeking an attorney and we have informed the media who are actually airing our story tonight. I would like to see this company sink!!!!!!!!!!! I wish you the best of luck in resolving your pool. If You would like to contact us you can email me at hdpena72@yahoo.com Holly
