  1. Roger-- Although an issue, its not the 40 cents a month or $40 for that matter that is my first concern. My first concern is how long will heat remain inside the tub casing in case of power failure during a New england winter. As you can well imagine, line/pump freeze ups can be disasterous. Will the ambient temperature stay above 32 degrees for an hour? Three? Six? (obviously keeping the cover on tight.) Now...the topic doesn't seem so dumb....to me anyway. Cros'
  2. Actually, I havent got to the point of looking at their models/price because of my uneasyness as to their business reputation. Your point is well taken.....thank you. Cros' Thank you for your help.
  3. Depending on what part of the country you are in can be a factor (I'm in N.E) and we loved our tub on the deck (no gazebo). Our only complaints is that we have trees close by and occasionly get a falling branch or Pine sap which makes cover purchases more frequent than we would like. Rain can damper (pardon the pun) the tub time if its cold. Outside of that stuff we can say--no gazebo--but dont put the tub too far from the house if you get snow! BRRRR. Good Luck Cros'
  4. Hi all-- First post here and I'm sooo glad I found you people. As we all know, a hot tub is a Major expense to the average working man. We owned a Sundance for nine years (outside in New England) and it went well except tech service (full foam) was costly. Anyway time for tub # 2 and the wife found an internet site for RIPtide Tubs thru overstockspas ?? She likes the sales pitch but I cant find unbiased info and cant take a chance on that much money. HELP? Thanks, Cros'
