  1. I've bought a Caldera Makena which hopefully will be delivered soon (waiting on dry weather). It has the inline Spafrog system. I want safe and easy versus saving money with chlorine. I plan to use Bleach as a weekly shock after I use up the non-chlorine shock that the dealer sold me. I've also read that you can refill the Spafrog bromine cartridges with Bromine tablets which I might try. 1. How do most people add this? I can imagine me spilling it all over the place trying to put in a few tablespoons. I've thought of using some kind of syringe or pipette. I also thought of those bottles where you squeeze them and it allows you to squirt a set amount into a separate section of the bottle which can then be poured out. 2. What chemicals and accessories do I actually need? My dealer tried to sell me all kinds of stuff but I only bought MPS and pH up. Now I've read that I can just use baking soda for pH up. Should I buy the stuff for metals and scale or use a hose filter attachment or both? Thanks for any suggestions and help.
  2. I really like the Cantabria, what an awesome hot tub! Maybe next time I can get one. Thanks for the advice. I ended up not getting ozone. My retailer talked me out of it which was a little shocking to me considering it was more profit for them to sell me one. They are a rare breed that really seems to want to make sure I'm happy with my purchase. I've heard about reloading with bromine tabs and plan to try that out. I bet it saves a ton of money! Hopefully in a few more weeks my hot tub will be delivered. My whole family can't wait.
  3. I've just purchased a Caldera Makena which includes the built in Spa Frog system and also has a continuous pump. I've been lurking on here for a while trying to study up on the different sanitation approaches but I can't find anything specific to Spa Frog with or without ozone compared to chlorine. I hope to use my spa at least 3-5 days a week with 2 or 3 people at a time. Chlorine seems to be the preferred method that is suggested on these forums with this amount of bather load over bromine. Is this true compared to the Spa Frog system too? With or without ozone? Is it worth it to add ozone to the Spa Frog system? Thanks for any advice.
