Sorry I don't think I explained that very well at all. The leak may be coming from the drain tube not the cap, how would we locate/fix this?

We think it may not be coming from the cap now but maybe somewhere in the cap, is that an easy fix?

We inherited this hot tub when we bought our house and have noticed the main drain plug is leaking. We've wrapped in with plumbers tape but there is still a leak. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
