  1. I tried on/off the breaker and that didn't help it . The tech said it's probably the mother board . It's stuck on 97/98 and just make sure it is , I used a manual thermometer and sure enough it's 98 . It's like it's just stuck there . I'll try and turn it down lower and see if it drops temp
  2. Few days ago I turned the temp up to 100 to go for a soak . I jumped in and usually within 15 mins it would have climbed to a 100 no problem . I was in it 40 mins and it didn't go above 98. Everyting works fine , jets , lights , filtering and it even says "heating" but doesn't heat. The element is only a year old , when that went last time, it would trip the breaker . Only other abnormal thing I noticed was , could times when I turned both jets on, the #1 jet would shut off by itself after a few a seconds so i would have to turn it back on. Any ideas ?
  3. Awesome... Thank you so much Chem . Your such a great help
  4. Whoops , sorry. I guess I didn't explain it proper . I found a place to order all the refills. I just need to know which ones to order...example...do I need water hardness ? Or Calcium refills? If I could get a list of the regents I should stock up on for the spa only ( not swimming pool) thanks
  5. I emailed both those companies and neither ship to Canada . My best option is to go through Amazon and find the ones I need in singles . I want to combine shipping with the refills to make it a little cheaper . TFTest kits said I only need " R-0003 and R-0013 " seems like I should be ordering some more to make the test kit last longer ?
  6. I found a decent place to order the Taylor kit . I would like to order large size refills at once . Can anyone clarify the refill kit # or the large bottle numbers that I will only need for my hotbtub ? Thanks
  7. is there a decent CYA tester out there ? It's hard to get the Taylor Kit in Canada without paying $300 . Next trip to the USA , ( who knows when) I'll be bringing a few back .
  8. Good point Chem, that reminds me , I was talking to a rep for aquafinesse last year and , he did say aquafinesse does cover up a bit of chlorine reading . I don't remember the exact amount , but he did tell me to take that into consideration .
  9. Here is how my strip looks almost 24 hours after adding 1/2 teaspoon of dichlor " boost"
  10. I just checked my aqua finesse jug and there is no active ingredient label. Its a jug that comes with a starter kit. For the pastwhile, i have only been soaking once a week, when im not soaking , i leave the temperature at 97 degrees, and since mine is on wifi , before a soak i turn it to 100 and then jump in. Again, i shower right before i get in . Somehow , that 1/2 teaspoon a day keeps a light purple on the strip. I havent added any since yesterday, so after work i can test it and take a picutre of the test strip. I do not have a ozonator
  11. I have been using just dichlor but the more reading , I'd like to switch to bleach after the cya builds up. My tub is 449 U.S. Gallons . I have it down where , upon fill up, I adjust the TA and PH , then throw in a quarter cap of dichlor to kick start it . I'm also using 5 oz of aqua fitness a week. So , by adding a 1/2 teaspoon of dichlor a day , my tub maintains 1-3 ppm at all times . If I have a guest with me , I give it a extra half teaspoon for them . I usually shower before I get in since I'm a painter/ drywaller . So my question , by being consistent with the 1/2 teaspoon per day, is there any way to know when I hit my cya amount where I can switch to bleach ? 2nd question, how much " chlorax ultra" ( Canadian) would I use to equal the amount of a 1/2 teaspoon of dichlor. Unfortunately , I don't have a Taylor rest kit . Just strips . My water is always crystal clear .
  12. Same as me , I get a dissolvable white powdery stuff build up,on my filter canisters and some comes loose with the jets on I think .
  13. I have a 2013 arctic spa cub . 1st heater lasted a year, replacement lasted 3 days. Now it's two weeks and haven't gotten a replacement. My friend has a 2014 arctic, and his heater lasted less than a year .
  14. This latest round was with bromine ... After A super decontamination and an aaas some clean ... I balanced the water and started floating the pucks and threw in some bromine concentrate since I didn't have bromides . I waited two weeks for the Bank to build up and went in for a soak and no difference . Didn't take long maybe the next day and the itchiness came back , same part of my body as the previous times. How important is the "hardness level " on a bromine test strip . Mine is always at 0 , and everything else is good as it can get ( according to the strips)
  15. I'm ready for a drain and fill, once all this 2 feet of snow melts a bit . I noticed even aquafinesse. Is gettin rid of the pucks and going with dichlor after a soak .
