  1. *follow up*: I did some messing around, and think I have it figured out. I believe the root of it all is the filtration cycle. When the filtration cycle is running, I believe, the pump light is on and cannot be shut off. I did change it to FIL2, but, again, I think, changing a filter cycle doesn't "register" until the next one is scheduled. So, I changed it to FIL2, then turned the breaker off for about 15 mins to purge the memory of the board. Turned it back on, and, everything seems to be working 100%. I still hear it turn on every little while to check the water temp, but it goes right back off again if heat isn't needed.
  2. FWIW, I had the same thing happen to my 2010 Four Winds Maui. Hooked it up and after a few days it just wouldn't shut off. I even posted a thread here about it. I think/hope I got it figured out. I believe it was, as someone said above, a filtration setting. When I got it, it was set to "8", meaning it filtered (I think) 8 hours a day, which runs the one pump in low speed. I changed it to "2", and all my issues seem (fingers crossed) to be solved. When in filtration, the pump light comes on, and it can't be shut off until it's done. Changing the filtration setting, I think, doesn't reset the "system" in mid cycle. I changed the setting to "2", then turned the breaker off for about 15 mins to purge the memory on the board. Fired it back up, and all looks to be good.
  3. Ok, I have searched this forum over and over, and can't find the answer to my problem, so I am writing this in hopes of divine intervention. I recently purchased a 2010 Four Winds Maui spa with Balboa 500SZ controls and M7 system. Hooked it all up and it ran fine for the last few days. Today, I heard the low speed pump kick on, like it usually does when the heater kicks on. It never turned off. Went out there to look, and the light on the control panel for the pump was lit up. Pushing it kicks it into high speed, and pushing it again puts it back to low speed. It cannot be shut off. Looked at the manual, and it said sometimes the low speed pump will run by itself and you will not be able to turn it of...but for 4 hours? Does anyone know if the filter cycle (I have it set on 2) makes the pump light come on? For what it's worth, I cut the power off at the breaker for about an hour, turned it back on, and it ran fine....for just a few minutes. It did it's self check thing, kicked on, kicked off, and I thought I had it solved. About 1/2 hour later heard it kick on again. Anything that I haven't thought of yet? I think that it's too new to have a circuit board problem, but who knows.
