  1. Ok, I've got it now. What I have isn't just the transformer to go inside the box, it's a whole new box. I just need to disconnect the wires visible from the bottom opening and reqire to the new box. Thanks for shaking that loose for me.
  2. I've got 2 pool lights, I'm replacing the transformer on one of them. They are back by the equipment near the light switches. Both are inside seperate boxes that open from the bottom. Other than the bottom flap, I don't believe they open. Any idea how to get the transformer out? I'm quizzed on this one.
  3. Yes they used conduit 40 years ago. Often the wire inside will swell and/or stick in place. Open up your junction box and put a few drops of Dawn dish soap down the hole towards the light. Do this for several days in a row. It will loosen up the wire inside the conduit. Cut the old wire at the old light. Tie it to the wire of the new light (I place them end to end then wrap with heavy duct tape) and pull the old wire from the junction box side. Once you have the new wire, trim it as needed and splice.
