  1. check the light conduit that is a common place to have a leak. Pull the light fixture out of the niche and get a piece of Butylene tape ( thats a non hardening puddy) and use it to plug up around the cord where it comes out of the conduit. Even if it turns out not to be leaking its one of the easiest things to eliminate as a possibility.
  2. There are several different manufacturers that make automated chemical control systems. The one that we use the most is a Polaris chemical control. It can be set up to use liquid chlorine or an erosion feeder with chlorine or bromine. With these systems you can control your sanitizer and your ph but other test still have to be done once in a while. The systems are not cheap either. The Polaris system that I use is about $2800.00.
  3. Sorry I dont handle the advertising for Hotsprings. You seem to have a real bug up your butt when it comes to Hotsprings.
  4. Maybe things like, good customer service, always able to get parts, good reputation.
  5. Thats not funny they already have been talking about a luxury item tax.
  6. I was being sarcastic. Sorry that didnt come across.
  7. Those heartless Ba$tards. Dont they realize how many trees it takes to make their brochures?
  8. The way consumers make purchases is changing. The internet is a huge source for purchases and manufacturers have to take that into account or get left behind. I preffer top help customers face to face but the reality is there are more and more consumers making purchases this way and that isnt going to stop. I believe that this is a good thing for Hotsprings to be a part of. Years ago a friend of mine that was in the travel industry was telling me how funny it was that some companies were advertising to plan a vacation on the internet and he said, "who in their right mind would buy a trip over the internet?" I wonder how many travel agents went out of business because of that same mentality. Technology is changing very fast and so is the way consumers buy. Why shouldnt there be quality products available over the internet? I know there are bugs that will have to be worked out but I believe if we can offer the product as well as customer service there are customers out ther somewhere in between Nightryder and the ones that would purchase from a retail dealer that may otherwise end up with a bad product. My opinion.
  9. I noticed it was YOU that singled out Hotsprings from the list that was given. I didnt mention a name.
  10. I've said it before and I'll say it again. If someone asks for an opinion their going to get it. If you need a break from that I'd suggest you take a break from this forum. Every dealer on this forum represents a particular product and I'm sure if you go back and read threads all through this forum you could find examples that you could say are their "sales routine". I dont believe you could go back through any of the threads and find where I said our product is the best but I'll bet if you ask ANY dealer if their product is the best their going to tell you yes. And they should believe in what they are selling or they shouldnt be selling it. I'm going to continue to give my opinion on the products that I work on every day and if that happens to rub you the wrong way then so be it. Frankly I'm getting sick of listening to people whine about others giving their opinion, I thought this was a forum.
  11. Yes but the manufacturer is not.
  12. Thats why we all get on these forums. We know its going to generate a lot of spa sales for us. Give me a break.
  13. Thats gotta be hell on the suspension!
  14. I cant speak for Guzz or Spatech but I work on their spas and I know from personal experience the problems customers go through with the spa manufacturers that build spas for Costco. I just had another customer Thursday last week get tired of waiting to get the parts for a leaking ozonator and injector. We had been attempting to get the parts for this customer for 6 months and kept getting the runaround from the manufacturer. The customer finally said this is rediculous and asked for a refund. The one good thing about that program is the return policy. I dont recall bashing Costco.
  15. When you test your water what kind of readings are you getting for the bromine levels?
  16. I guess I get my own catagory. Owners who do not like Cal Spas, since I have 6 or 7 of them sitting in my warehouse that I've hauled off for customers. Does that make me a Cal spa owner?
  17. Just adding my grain of salt but Sundance is a better spa in my opinion. And I've been doing warranty repairs on both for quite a few years.
  18. You should not let small children in the spa with the temperature above 100 degrees. In some states there are regulations on commercial spas that make it illegal to allow minors to use a commercial spa. The reason it is not recommended is when they sit in the hot water and their body core temperature gets up above 100 it has the same effect on them as if they had a fever of the same temperature. Also their heart beat is much faster than an adult and the heat will increase their heart rate. As Guzz said if you have the temp down they can sit in it as long as they want.
  19. That could be but I dont think a printed version exsists. When I worked for a dealer that sold them , we couldnt get a copy of the warranty from the factory.
  20. Catalina is another one that is famous for no copy of a warranty. I would like to see a copy of that if anyone has one.
  21. Ok now I'm getting nervous. When you agree with something I said. I may have to change my position on what I said. Im so confused!
