  1. Hey Chas, The majority of the shell is out of the ground. I just wrapped it in Bubble Foil yesterday. To see if that makes any difference as Expanding foam is ridiculously expensive out here in Australia. All pipes are above ground. I've taken a reading and I'll see if there is any decrease in power usage over a 24 hour period. At the moment this thing will give me $1000 power bill for 2 months. Which is a crazy.
  2. For anyone who has this problem or owns one of these. It was a case of a small amount of water getting into the electronic control box and slowly corroding the wire thermostat. Replaced that and blocked the leakage and its back to normal.
  3. Hey Guys, I have an old 02/03 Jadan spa (inground) that I have recently dropped into a raised deck. It looks awesome and works great, but the pump is running hard. And my power bill is going to be huge. What I didn't consider when putting this in the deck was that approx 750mm of the spa shell will be out of the ground and therefore completely uninsulated. So my question is, what type of insulation should I use to wrap the shell? It will get water on it. So I'll need something waterproof. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
  4. Hey Guys, I have a 15 amp 240V Waterco Portapac Heat Pump (air button model). It will work for about 60 seconds and then trips out. I have to push the reset power button and the "power" light comes on again. Turn on the jets and it will run for up to a minute and then cuts out. It doesn't trip the main power on house, just the pump itself. Any ideas? Cheers
  5. Wow this was soooo much easier than I thought. Will be giving her a leak test tonight. Thanks again mate. really appreciate it.
  6. countspacula, Cheers for the quick response mate. I didn't realise they unscrewed I thought they were glued in. Lets hope the spa shop has the jet instock. Anytips for replacing the jet or is it pretty straight forward?
  7. Hey Guys, I'm a total noob here and know very little about spas. First post infact. I just relocated my old spa and have some how damaged one of the air/blower lines when I lowered it into the deck. Its where the hose connects to the jet has snapped off. It's a Jadan Spa early 2000's from memory. Apologies for the dodgy photo. http://i237.photobuc...e/Spadamage.jpg Can I glue it back on? If so what adhesive do you recommend? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
