Tried it on the weekend. Initially I was impressed with it as it started to slow down the leaks, then eventually stop them. So far I have spotted only three leaks. Anyways, I had been circulating the pumps on high speed for about 6 hours. Then I put the filters back in and let the water clean itself up. Next day, leaking again from the same spots. This tub is about 1500 litres and I used about 10 oz. of the Fix-A-Leak. So not a very good experience, unless I did something wrong? Should I have drained the tub and let it dry out? Should I have used more of the product than I did?

Anyone have any experience with this product? I have a tub that is about 10 years old now and is showing a lot of little puddles around the perimeter of it. Its a spray insulated tub, which I have spent countless hours digging apart. Filled with mouse crap and piss, really nice job. I have found a couple of steady leaks, hoses chewed a little bit etc. I'm just wondering how well the above product works? I intend to physically repair the fittings that I can actually see leaking, but if there is anything under the tub, this concerns me. I don't want to spend a fortune getting this tub leak free if I can avoid it. Its not a new tub so I expected some speed bumps. Also, its a big Sunrise spa, 7 person unit. Any feedback would be valueable. Thanks again.

Some models have 2 speed pumps... and the control board setup to recognise this.

Good day all, I have an older Sunrise spa, about 2003, exuinox type model. I've been playing with it for a few days now and there is nothing that shows how to get this tub OUT of this "Econ" (Economy) mode. It flashes between "Econ" and the temperature of 85, but it will not go hotter than that. My temperature is set to 102 but it won't heat anymore. The heater works as is was only 50 degrees when I filled it... The manual is useless as it doesn't say anything at all about what that mode even is... I'm guessing its some configuration of buttons pressed in order to restore it back to where it should be, a real pain in the ass as I can't find any reference to this anywhere on the web. This mode looks like its available on many hot tubs for good reason, but I can't turn it off !! PLEASE HELP !! I'm not brave enough to jump into 85 degrees for my first dip. Bought it used so its just new to me. Thanks !!!

Many thanks for all the feedback, one more question... Being as old as this unit is, year 2000, with a model code "959" written on the tag outside, would the jets for the newer models fit into this older unit? I'm trying to get my hands on a manual or something for this unit. I've contacted Sunrise but haven't heard back yet. I'd like to replace a lot of the jets as they're looking kind of old and have some scaling on them. I've noticed the flaky white scale around the filters.

I would assume that the head gun type would likely do a better job. With a tub that old its bound to happen. I had one also that was showing signs of stress on the liner and I just got it re-skinned. Mine was inside the house so I didn't want to take any chances of a leak.,

Thank you. I assumed that from an engineering point of view, I just figured that flows would be following the path of least resistance. Either that or a slight air lock as it was just filled when I looked at it but I don't think it was "burped" at the pump to release the air...

Question 1, - Shocking is typically used if you have a heavy bather load in the tub. Like a lot of body oils etc from people, you shock it to help clean that up faster rather than waiting for the floater to get the job done. If using Bromine, you probably have the pucks in the floater. You can also buy a granulated bromine also, I would throw half a cap full into the water if there was a few of us in it. Using the test strips is fine to balance the PH, but I disagree with it staying balanced until being drained... Those levels do move around and have to be monitored, the PH and Alkalinity are closely related to each other... I would adjust the water chemistry before putting anything else into it.

Hello all, I am a new member here and thought I would post my question here. I purchased a used Sunrise hot tub from someone, it looks to be a year 2000 model. The factory said it was replaced with the "Equinox" model of today. When went to look at the hot tub everything seemed to be working okay but some of the jets weren't really pumping that hard, some with hardly any air coming out. The pumps look new on this unit and not 12 years old.. There is one big blower jet on the bottom that is about 8" in diameter that works real well so I know the pump is working. This unit is also missing some jets from the bottom. A couple of the back massage ones and both of the ones that aim at your feet in the lounger part. My question is, with these jets missing would that not allow full force to reach the other jets? My thought is having them missing wouldn't allow for equal back pressure. Regarding the air coming out all the jets, I'm not sure. The pump works, all the air valves are open and selector valves are also in the correct place. When I saw it, the seller may have just filled it too so there may have been an airlock someplace but the pump part is great, just not getting air to all the jets. I took the side panel off to look at it, I did notice that there is a large flexible pipe just hanging down along the inside facing the bottom of the tub. Looks like that white pipe thats used on a clothes dryer exhaust, plastic over a spiral wire type thing. I didn't know if that was supposed to just be hanging down open to atmosphere or attached. Its like a 4" diameter hose. But I really just wondered if this was just a jet problem, with some missing causing a problem with equal distribution among the jets. Or do those air valves/selector valves ever really fail? Thanks so much !!
