  1. I've had a lot of luck using Ant-B-Gone. You just put 2 - 3 drops on the ants pathways and they carry it back to their nests. In 2 - 3 days the ants are gone.
  2. Not an answer to all your questions but Dichlor is available in Ontario; most dealers carry it even Wal-mart and Canadian Tire sell it. You can do a search of the forum as there are many people here who have posted the pros and cons of each method.
  3. Think twice about the Coast; I have a Helios that has a warped shell. My dealer is no help at all and I contacted Coast 3 weeks ago and they have not gotten back to me yet. The area supervisor for my dealer looked at my tub and admitted it was defective; he said that he would submit a warranty claim to Coast. This was supposedly done in November. The area supervisor has told me on 2 occasions that he has not yet heard from Coast and Coast has not replied to my direct enquiry. If I don't hear anything by this Monday, I will file a complaint with the B.B.B.. If that doesn't work, then I will be talking to my Attorney General Consumers Law Representative.
  4. I called Clorox's 1-800 or 1-888 phone number printed on the jug and I was told the Ultra is 6%. You can get a 5 litre jug of Purox liqiud chlorine at Canadian Tire for $5. I was told it's 10.8%.
  5. You can try a product called "Ant-B-Gone; it works great. You just put a few drops, near your drain valve, outside of the tub; the ants will track it back to their colony and kill all of them within a few days. I get it from Home Depot or Wal-mart here in Canada.
  6. You should check with the dealer or manufacturer of your tub as some want it on a concrete pad for warrenty purposes.
  7. Pictures of our 2007 Coast Helios. We love it and hope you like the pictures
  8. I had 2 broken vertebra and a herniated disc. Our hottub has done wonders for my back; I use far less morphine, muscle relaxants and anti-inflamatiories. The heat and jet action gives temporary relief; when used 2 or 3 times daily, it makes a hugh overall difference. Let's just hope that the rods and screws in my back don't rust. Chas, think twice about getting epidural injections and/or ask your doctor's advice. I had a double fusion (lumbar) and during that surgery they give me a morphine injection into my spine as a type of nerve block/pain killer. Well they almost killed me with a massive morphine overdose; the morphine leaked out of my spine from where I had had multiple epidural injections. It took 3 doses of "norcan" to reverse the effects of the morphine. P.S. the epidural injections did not help me.
  9. Thanks for the great information; this is why this is such a great site. Greg
  10. Sorry to hyjack, does anyone know if ArmorAll is a good substitute? Any positives or negitives for its use.
  11. If there was no competition, the few hot tub suppliers could determine the price point. A hot tub is a luxury not a necessity; those that want them would have to pay a very high price with your theory.
  12. I just figured it out; you're hoping to be the star if the Twilight Zone comes back.
  13. Try not to take this ***'s rantings personally, almost all of us appreciate your help, advice, suggestions, and expertise. It seems that NW is taking his fustration out on you. Take pleasure in the fact that he'll likely be out of a job with in a couple of months and he hopefully won't be able to afford an internet connection. Wouldn't it be ironic if NW actually owns a Hydro and he ends up unknowingly having you repair it for him.
  14. OK, you got us Canadians; we're really evil aliens out to control the hot tub world. We use our ray guns to shrink the hot tubs so we can fit them in our pouches and then we teleport over to another city and we unshrink the hot tubs and a fellow evil Canadian alien uses the exact same excuse to further our domination of the hot tub world. Shame on us evil alien Canadians; now we are going to have to focus on beer and hockey domination of the world.
  15. Check your local consumer laws. In Ontario, a consumer can return a product within 3 days if it has not been used and a contract can be cancelled within 3 days if work has not been started. In Ontario, if you know who to file a dispute with, a non-refundable clause will not apply and you'll get your money back because the "other party" is not supposed to begin production for 3 days due to this consumer law. If there is a "window of time" in your area, put your refund request in writing so it is documented.
