  1. Hello everyone! I went to my spa dealer during lunch time to buy some brominating tablets. On the shelf just besides the brominating tablets, there was a product called "brominating concentrate"... i just wanted to know what was the difference between the 2 products and which one is better? By the way my tablets directly in the basket of the spa and i'm using Spaguard products.
  2. Just an update, i've done what Tom told me in PM. I've thrown away all chemicals except PH+ PH- Total Alcalinity+ Calcium Hardness+ and Brominating Tablet! (No more anti-foam, stain and scale or enzymes!) I've also put a brand new filter! Since then, my water has survived a big party and our daily bath without any water trouble (Which is a first!!) and i've lowered my chemical use by half without doing anything! So, problem resolved! Thanks to you Tom!
  3. Hi tom! No my dealer did not told me that defoamer would kill my filter! They even gave me a bottle of defoamer in the "chemical package" that came with the tub.... Should i understand that pleated filters would be better for my use of the tub?
  4. Thanks Pathfinder!!! Anyone else is disappointed of these micropure filters?
  5. Hello! I've been owning my spa since 2 weeks... i've had a lot of trouble with my water since then... I need to tell you that my tub has seen a lot of bathers in these 2 weeks lol. Me and my G/F have been in the tub every night since we got it (for more than an hour each time) and we've got the normal "old friend you haven't seen in month" coming to try the new tub hahaha. Thats normal I think and it was also funnyto see them again!! lol Now... in the last 2 days... i was completely unable to bring water back to normal... it was always foamy and milky! After trying the chemical way... bromine, shock, ph, ta, CH, enzymes.... anything! Yesterday, I decided to simply change my MICROPURE filter that was supposed to be good for "at least" 3 month for a brand new one! What a surprise when i found that my water was amazing this morning!!! So... does the MICROPURE filters sucks or did i just asked it too much in the last 2 weeks? What are your own experience with these?
  6. Thanx a lot everyone! i'm gonna look at those sites!
  7. Hello! I'm trying to find a Taylor k-2106 bromine test kit. They seem to be pretty hard to find on e-bay and a lot of website i've seen wont send them to canada because it seems that they have a single distributor for canada! The problem is that distributor seems unreachable! I've wrote them 2 e-mails and they dont answer! So, do you know any online spa shop who would be willing to send this kit to me in Quebec?
  8. Hi everyone!! I just got my new spa last monday! Now i just cant find a way to balance that water! My water is cloudy...it looks like i've thrown a pint of milk in it! My Ph is over 8 (my test strips dont go over that point) , Total alcalinity is at 80 PPM and Bromine level is high at 8 PPM after shocking. The Water makes our skin dry. Now i know, my numbers are way off... but i've tried everything! I've put "Lo n' Slow" ph down twice in 2 days, TA up twice too, i've shocked my water with a product called Enhanced Shock yesterday.... nothing seems to work. By the way, i'm using SpaGuard Products that my dealer gave me with the Spa. I'm using brominating tablet that need to be thrown in the basket in the filter system. Please Help... I'll also call my dealer during the day to see if they can help me.... i just dont want to go there for fun since i've got to drive 45minute to go to their shop just to bring a water sample.
  9. i've ordered a kodiak a couple of week ago! It's a Legend Extreme with Dlx Northern light, Aquatremor and some other stuff. It was supposed to be in production this week! So i'm going to be one of yours in a couple of weeks! I chose arctic because of their insulation (I live in Québec, it's kinda cold around here), the way they are made, its a canadian product and that my dealer has a good reputation!! I chose the kodiak for the lounger seat (my g/f wanted one of those). I also liked the tundra but... see previous comment Now i need to build a Gazebo and i'll be ready for summer.... and winter!
