  1. I agree with both spa tech and hjames. Not a fan of master. And I think hot springs are the best. They make caldera but usually cost the same so I would just go with a hot springs. Also jacuzzi and sundance ( also same company ) are great. D1s are up there too. But not at the top of my list.
  2. Hot springs/ Watkins has a special nature 2 Cartridge for their tubs. It's silver. The stem on it is designed to go inside that pipe. should retail for the same price.
  3. Did wet test either of the two? I would think the Marquis would have full manfacture warrany? both are good tubs, pick the one you like. There is a 1 year warranty on replacement part from hotspring unless that change. It's a toss up. I think the hot spring is a better tub but It's used. And in repsonse to the post before. A new hot springs would have a 5 year parts warranty and has as long as I can remember. But this is used so that's irrelevant. so you might have a better warranty with the Marquis but I still think the hot springs will outlast it.
  4. Spa tech is right. That's a flow problem and it's usually just dirty filters.
  5. Im a big fan of hot springs but I think that is a little high. I think the usually go for $9500 to slightly over 10k but like someone else said if that includes running electric and hooking it up it might be pretty close. I think hot springs is ONE of the best because they have a lot of features other tubs don't have. But different tubs fit different needs and wants. . But you have to like your dealer because they're taking care of all the warranty work. I highly agree with everything hot spring ace said also.
  6. The people from nature 2 said you still want to keep your chlorine level at .5 ppm. They say that in most cases the cartridge and mps would be fine. But to meet all EPA guidelines you have to use a little chlorine. Basically doing everything the same as before just adding a lot less chlorine. It's a low chlorine system not chlorine free
  7. Try to take the filters out. Since they have 100% filtration. They get dirty and will do that to the tub. Try to run the tub without them and see if that works.
  8. I've seen heat sticks work. They've put them on other tubs then dream maker. But my understanding is in 2011 they started putting a heater on all their models except the small round one. They are good tubs. But if it's 3 degrees outside don't expect it to keep to temp. But thats pretty much any 110. I like Viking spas plug in plays. That usually sell for the same price. And word on the street is dream maker is going out of business.
  9. I love tiger river spas. They were made by hot springs. But I think they stopped making them last year or the year before. You should still be able to get parts. But like someone else said. They probably will be pricey. But hot springs tubs are known for lasting forever.
  10. I have been to hot springs training and basically everything hs ace said is true. The only thing they say different is they use a 30 pound foam on the shell and lines. A 2.5 down and then capped off with a 60 pound.
