  1. Thank you ScubaDave The spa a Canadian made hot tub. A cheap unit I bought second hand. All the electric except for the 3 pumps was above sea water level. Glad to hear the opinions of others as well. Do you also think that a hot tub can function with only a circulating pump and the other 2 be disconnected from the circuit board but left in place?
  2. The three pumps of our hot tub were flooded with salt water during Hurricane Matthew (2016). The pumps were flooded but not the mother board. We never use the jets and only use our spa as a hot tub to soak in. What are your thoughts on salvaging this? I was thinking of disconnecting the electric on the 2 jet pumps and buying/replacing the smaller circulating pump. Only running on the circulating pump. Would this work? Looking forward to your help and suggestions.
  3. Hi, We have a 10 year old Wailea Coast Spa that is not heating properly. We set the temp to 101 and it only gets up to 93/95. Should we change the heater element? Any suggestions? Thanks.
  4. Hi, Our tub has two pumps, both are working, but some of the jets are not functionning. Pump 1 is working fine. Pump 2, which includes the volcano floor jet is not working properly. It should have two speeds, but only works on full throttle and more - we have a fountain in our hot tub! Not all jets have water/air coming out of them. We have turned the valve that switches the jets to the volcano pump and no change. We regularly empty and refill out tub and always drain the air out of the valves. Thanks.
  5. We put our tub in in the winter so could not pour concrete. My husband made a wooden frame and then levelled and pounded the earth and used a 4 inch gravel base for our "pad". The gravel has since settled so the tub in not absolutely level any more.
  6. Thanks for your answers. I have found a company through Google that will repair the circuit board for $150. A new one seems to be around $350.
  7. Hi, We have a Wailea Coast Spa probably about 10 years old (bought second hand from an individual). Runs on 240V. We have had the spa up and running for about 6 months and today one of the wires melted on the circuit board whilst the heater and pump #1 was running. I have posted some photos on the following link. https://picasaweb.google.com/118184727479085604289/WaileaSpa?authuser=0&feat=directlink It looks to me that box P20Heater and P21High Limit #1 have been swapped places on the board as compared with the diagram. Questions 1. Can we replace just the burnt black box and wire? 2. Does it need soldering? 3. Should we replace the whole circuit board? 4. Where should we buy parts? 5. Is there an underlying cause of this that needs fixing? Thanks for all the help. Natasha
