  2. I'm Having problems with my Marquis Reward Spa the jets are low on one side until i take filters off I was advise to replace the filters.I don't want to buy filter from the place I bought the tub becuase they want $60.00 EACH. Does any one recommend a good place to shop? Also call Marquis to find Unicel # and they say they don't have one but gave me the specs as 14inch tall 5 3/16 2 inch thread at bottom with handle. Does any one know uncile replacement #? Also does anyone know anything about Micro depths filters are they worth it or just hype? Need quick response have to get this fixed. Thanks Bill
  3. I just refilled out Tub and I'm getting a musky smell. Any Ideas why? I have a Marquis Reward and it use bromine but I use granulated chlorine in it.

  5. Trisodium phosphate is what I was told has anyone ever used that on their filters to clean them. Thanks Bill
  6. Just had a quick question. I need to soak my filters overnight the guy from spa maker told me to use a product I can get from the hardware store but I can't recall what it was was any one know. I thnk it was sodium something. Thanks Bill
  7. I have a marquis Reward and we love it I bought it back in May. I know how you feel about not knowing I was there a few months. I agree with last post watch who you talk to there are people just push either their tub or the junk on here. My advice read thu post and you will get a feel of the few major brands then find them and wet test. Bottom line Wet test is the true key what might be good for me not for you. So wet test and have fun. Ps there are some very informative people on here not all are bad just need to weed out who is who. Thanks Bill
  8. Hey Haven't been on in a while soaking in the tub all the time.I wrote a while ago about having problems with hazy cloudy water. After trying everything I finally just dumped the water and started over its been about two weeks and the same problem is happeing again. After talking to my dealer I realized it was the blind leading the blind I really wish these Manufactors would take a closer look at who they let sell their product. After getting feed up I called Marquis and spoke to a very helpful man there he feels after telling him the problems that I should try cholrine (sodium something if someone can correct me ) instead of the shock to help keep bromine level up. and he also adjusted the filter times so now it will filter like 9 hours a day opposed to just two. Bottom line is When buying from a dealer find one you really like . I didn't like the one I have but they had the product I wanted and the second closer dealer wouldn't sell to me because I was in annother state. If my dealer did his job showed me how to properly set up the spa and run it instead of just dropping it off and that was it it would have save me a lot of time and money wasted. Any way good soaks to all Thanks Bill
  9. Things only getting worse try clarify twice no good now getting a slime feeling any advice. chec were on lower end now all really high except borime and hardness are both low.
  10. Hey any idea how to fix Cloudy hazy water? I have a Marquis Rewards. Water was fine two days ago then water turned. I keep it at 100% water is only two weeks old. I Had water test before it turn cloudy add everything they said including something for the minerals in my water. Thanks Bill
  11. Congrats on getting a tub. When I installed mine the electrician asked me to wait on filing it up until we knew for sure it didn't have to be moved. It took like 30 Min's to fill it up not long at all unless you down under have to get a pail and run down to the watering hole i wouldn't worry about it . just fill it while he is doing the work. also if you never own a spa you should looking in to proper start-up. Happy Soaks Bill
  12. Bottom line is the dealer is the one to Blame the day he took possession of the and didn't noticed the crack in it this became his problem. Then he passed it on to you. He is a dealer and he know to inspect each and every tub that he buys before he signs off on it. Let me ask you this how do you know it wasn't the dealer that glued up the crack of course he going to make the dealer look like the bad one to save face with you ever hear of good cop bad cop. If this dealer was so good and you can ask any Good dealer just ask jim the jim he would have said I'll bring you a new tub right out and replace that one and I the dealer will take it up with Cal Spa. No he blamed Cal spa and left you to deal with them. I've been around the block enough to know you are getting the run around. Really I think you should be blaming the dealer and the tub company they worked Hand in hand to give you a broken product. Thanks Bill Ps If the dealer is so great ask him for some compensation and half hearted dealer give you something .
  13. When shopping for your spa supplies does the brands really matter I know the ones that came with the spa but if I buy lets say spa shock is brand and b the same what should i look for?
  14. I just don't understand why you stick up for the dealer . He sold you the defected tub not Cal spa. If the Tub was defected when they got it they should have sent it back not passed it on to you. So please don't make the dealer out to be a good guy. when they changed their mind about picking up the tub I would have told them right there come and get it either bring me a new tub now or give me my money back. If there was any problems I would have told them your calling a Lawyer trust me you would have gotten some where. Let me ask you what did they give you for your troubles some money back extra spa chemicals? Don't tell me the only thing they offered you was a free life time of water testing? Come on if this dealer is so great what did they do for you. Let this be a lesson to all anytime you buy a product always check it out from top to bottom before accepting the product there are too many shady dealers out there in every industry and who always takes the blame the poor dealer they guys make the thing in a production line I'm sure that there are some mistakes that guy making $8.50 at QC is only human. But to me it the reseller of the product who is to blame because if it is junk to start with they should send it back and not let their name be on the line. Hope you have new tub and everything is good happy tsoaks Thanks Bill
