I have a jetsetter tub and live in SE Oklahoma. My spa temp hovers above 100 and I've had the heater off for months. What is good way to lower the water temp and protect the spa - I don't just want to leave the cover off. Does anyone make tinted mesh covers? Any ideas?

I have a 2010 HS Jetsetter with ozone. I recently switched to the dichlor/bleach method. Used dichlor for 2 weeks. Last night I shocked to 10 ppm chlorine with bleach. Checked FC today and it was .5 ppm. Is this normal, shouldn't I have a max of 50% chlorine demand. Is the ozone doing this? BTW, I'm using a Taylor Test Kit.

I've been a lurker on this forum for the last couple of months. Between this forum and the hot tub chemistry I think I've learned quit a bit; I've got a Taylor Test Kit on order! I'm pretty new to spa's and I bought my first one, a Hot Spring Spa a couple of months ago. Anyhow, my questions is this. What would you guys recommend for routine maintenance on a spa? Specifically, should I wax the spa tub every couple of months, should I use a system flush every time I refill with water, how should I care for the cabinet, etc? Thanks
