  1. I had a vinyl lined inground pool with a jet tub put in about 9 months ago. The other day the liner was floating off the bottom of the pool in the shallow end and coming off the wall in a few areas. The company that installed it came yesterday and is trying to determine the problem as the pool has a 12 month installation warranty. The pumps were shut off and the liner went back down on the pool bottom but now has a few wringles across the length of the pool. I was told it could be a hole in the liner or a crack/leak in a pvc pipe. If it turns out that the problem is covered under the warranty after the repair is done wouldn't the pool company have to smooth out my liner to the way it was? I realize they would probably have to empty the water to do it and then refill it and for some reason I think they will not want to do that. I would think that is their responsibility. I paid ALOT of money for this pool and want it just the way it was when it first went in. So, should smoothing out the liner be included in he repair?? Also, to refill it will cost a few hundred dollars which I feel they should pay for as well. Any thoughts??
  2. Just had an inground vinyl liner pool installed. Don't know if this is normal but where the wall meets the floor the liner is not snug against the floor and wall but curved a bit. You can push your foot into it there as if there is some air behind it and push it down. There is about an inch or so of play. Any input would be appreciated, thanks.
  3. The space between my home and my neighbors is not very wide, it's about 9 feet. The inground pool we are thinking about having installed is 22' x 36'. The largest depth will be about 8 feet. How much space is needed for a mini excavator like a Bobcat or John Deere to fit through and will it be able to dig that size pool? Any input will be appreciated.
  4. Looking to get some opinions on Fox Vinyl Liner Inground Swimming Pools. Does anyone own one or know about their quality? Any info would be appreciated, thanks.
  5. Does anyone know anything about One Stop Pool Shop Inc. in Kannapolis N.C. They install Fox vinyl liner inground pools. Their website says they've been in business for 30 years but I can't find any reviews about them online. I also tried a BBB check and they do not have that business listed. Thanks.
  6. Looking for any input regarding the guality of Leisure Pools vs Crystal Palace Pools. The company I am considering doing my pool installation carries both. Thanks.
  7. Marc, thanks for your input. I've been surfing through this forum trying to get as much knowledge as I can because this is my first fiberglass pool purchase. In doing so I've seen some of your replies to other forum members and you seem to be pretty knowledgable. Could you tell me how much room is usually there to negotiate a price with the pool contractor? How much do they normally make on a pool package installation and how much are they willing to come down? Thanks again. Phil
  8. I am considering having a fiberglass pool installed by a company called Quality Pools out of Locust N.C. It is owned by Richard Gregory. Has anyone done business with this company, if so I would like to get your feedback. They have an A+ rating by the BBB, have been in business since 1982, and over 90% of the reviews I could find spoke highly of them. Just trying to get as much information about them as I can because the pool will be a big investment. Thanks.
