  1. The small spinning centre piece in one of our small jets has come out. I haven't lowered the water yet to see if it will push back in. Wondering if the small jets are replaceable/removable, I know they spin right and left to turn on and off, but I wasn't able to remove it. How does one replace these small jets, or how can I fix the one that is there? Thanks.
  2. Opened the pool today (in-ground). The line from the filter to the pool (not the pump to the filter) is the flexible PVC pipe. There is a splice in it for some reason left there from the previous owner. It was joined with 4 stainless hose clamps (2 on each side of the coupling). Last fall when the pool was getting closed a rookie loosened off the clamps and then was told that he didn't need to do that. He didn't tighten them all back up and the one he did, he tightend too much and broke the teeth, didn't know that until today. We had some air in the lines and I realized the guy had not fixed his mistake properly. So after all that background, my question is this - can you think of any reason that hose clamps would be better in this situation than just a ridgid coupling glued with PVC cement? Thanks.
