  1. After pulling the winter cover off I discovered some leaves and a few dead frogs and lizards that left some stubborn stains on the bottom of my vinyl liner 20 X 40 inground. Not unusual to have this every year. I'm running a Jandy Aquapure 1400 and added the necessary salt, chorine shock and let the pump run continuously for the startup and to clarify the water. Well, three weeks later, the water is balanced and crystal clear but the stains are still there and will not brush out with a brush. I treated the water once with a stain remover but it really had no effect. I'm pretty sure these are organic stains and not metal since my water chemistry is OK. Any suggestions on how to get rid of these stains would be welcomed.
  2. Yes. If conditions aren't right, the unit will shut itself off. Thanks Pool Clown!!
  3. Hi folks, Figured I'd jump on the band wagon here with the same problem. My 1400 is 3.5 yrs old and has started to bounce from codes 120 and 121 recently. I just today did the muriatic acid cleaning which really didn't do anything cause the cell did not appear to be clogged or dirty at all. I run my pump for 12 hrs. each day on a timer with the generator set at 50% for my 29000 gal pool. Based on everything I've read here, it sounds like I'm looking at a new cell and since I have the old style square cell, it will involve some replumbing which is not a big deal. My question is, can I continue to run the cell while getting the codes without damaging the control box? I probably won't replace the cell until next year and I plan to close the pool over the labor day weekend this year. So I only have another five weeks of usage anyway. You guys see any potential problems? Thanks for any and all replies and thanks for a great forum!!
