  1. The pool is a Radiant pool, which is aluminum on both sides with 2" of foam insullation sandwihed in the middle. It is a Go Green Echo frienly pool that really doens't need a heater because it is insultated. The manufacutuer is in Albany but I purchased in from an installer in Syracuse NY and I live about 60 miles west in Rochester NY. I know the pool is not level becaue I measured the top of the water level to the top of the coping and it is off by at the most 2.5". When I called the installer he came out and shot it with his transit and he agreed it was not level. He said he was going to come out and dig up the shallow end because that seems to be where the problem is stemming from but I am skeptical of having someone just tear up part of the pool. To me this seems like just a pach work type job and quite frankly I don't want a new pool that is all patched up. SHould I expect it to be torn out and put back in? What would be some reasons why a pool would shift as the installer claims it was level when he put it in. I thought maybe one reason is because not enough concrete was used around the base of the pool. If anyone knows any reason can you tell me???? We paid way too much money to have a problem like this.
  2. Hello all, we had a new inground pool installed not quite a month ago and we have had problem after problem, one major problem was tha we had two leaks, that were fixed, but the main problem we is that the pool is not level, it is off about 2.5". We called the installer and he came and checked the pool and agreed. At this point the installer thinks it is because the wall panel was never seated in the chanel properly to begin with and then when the pool was filled with water the panel settled in making the pool NOT level. I personnally don't think that is the case as it really sounds far fetched but I need advice on what others think. If you have any input on wether this is a legitimate reason or what are reasons why a in-ground pool would become NOT level can you please e-amil me back? I would immensly appreciate it.
  3. Hello all, does anyone have any input on the "Radiant" Metric( used to be called Trojan, and or the "Fox" Ultimate pools? These two pools are made to be put totally in-ground, semi in-ground, or above ground. I am looking at them to put totally in-ground. Thanks
  4. Hello all, I am thinking about installing one of the above ground pools that can be put totally in ground, ie Radiant Metric or the Fox Ultimate, and was wondering if there are any preferences using D.E or sand filtration? and then which brand Hayward or Pentair for D.E. and or sand?
