  1. I just got done installing my Tiger River spa. I have the 240 converted Bengal model, which runs a GFCI 30 amp breaker for the heater. My question is when I first filled the tub the heater breaker was very hot to touch. After the tub came up to temp it was fine and the breaker was cool to touch. Is this normal?
  2. I use this stuff http://www.jrproductsinc.com/shop/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=11&idproduct=56 I am in Beaver Falls PA near Pittsburgh. How much is this stuff and where can I find it?
  3. I use this stuff http://www.jrproductsinc.com/shop/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=11&idproduct=56 Wow that is out of my price range! Is there any real difference in heat insulation between the Home Depot Great stuff and the stuff you use?
  4. I had to fix a couple of freeze breaks in a tiger river spa that I bought used. I had to dig out a fairly large amount of foam and I am finally at the stage of reforming the underside of the tub. My question is what type of foam should I use? Great stuff sells a couple of different kinds... Low window expendable foam, normal expendable foam, and High expendable foam. Is there some kind of special stuff I should use? Thanks Greg
  5. I just bought a used 2005 Tiger River Bangle spa. I need some help on hot to get it up and running. This is my first tub so I am lost. Currently the tub is empty and has been for a couple of months. When we flipped the tub up on its side to move it some bugs and nasty water came out of the jets! 1. Should I just fill the tub up with water or should I try and flush out the piping? 2. What should I do to sanitize the tub? The lady I bought the tub from gave me a brand new filter. 3. The previous owner used chlorine. Should I also use chlorine or should I use switch to bromine? 4. Do I need to take anything apart and clean it like the jets or ??? 5. What else should I do to get this tub up and running? Thanks I really need some help I am lost
  6. How about option 3: Put the spa in at an angle. I would have the equipment side sitting on the wood part of the trailer and the other side of the tub hanging over one of the rails and wheel wells.
  7. I just bought a 2005 Tiger River Bengal for $2000 (I think it got a good deal) and I need to move it about 150 miles. The only trailer I can get access to is a 5x8 flat bed trailer with rails. What is my best option when tying it down to the trailer? Option 1: Sit the hot tub on the rails of the trailer and tie it down using ratchet tie downs. The only problem I see is that the tub will hang over the rails a little bit. What really concerns me about this method is that the whole center of the hot tub will not be supported. The center of the tub will be sitting about a foot or two off the trailer. Option 2: Sit the hot tub on its side (equipment side down). Is there any issue using this method? Will plastic siding on the tub be strong enough to hold the weight for a 150 mile trip? What should I use under the tub and how tight should I make the tie downs? Thanks Greg (first time spa owner)
