  1. I was the owner of an Arctic Spa a few years ago. I have never owned, serviced, sold, worked for, or had any relationship with any other brand so couldn't comment on them. I had a lot of problems with Arctic Spa. 5 years later I'm still bitter, just to give you an idea how bad it was. Needless to say I would not recommend them.
  2. Having seen metal frames rust and rivets get loose and fall apart and having seen poorly insulated tubs use 2-3 times more electricity than fully foamed in tubs. Your right, if that's new technology I am against it. Don't keep saying I am against Arctic though, you keep doing that. They are getting it closer than any other company and build a fine tub. It's funny your hyping them, they have a wood frame??? And I am not sure why you keep comparing 2 inch poorly laid out crappy insulation blankets like Maxx to Arctics up to 4 inch sprayed on foam insulation. There is no comparison there, so for the sake of an OK tub quit doing it. Your offending the Arctic owners here. I think its important to note Roger said "Arctics up to 4 inch sprayed on foam insulation." up to is a lot diffirent than saying 4 inches.
  3. Please add me to the group of unhappy Artic owners. One time about 10 minutes into a soak, a pipe came loose and most of the water leaked out of it in about 3 minutes. Kind of spoils a hut tub party when that happens. Another time I go to get into the thing and I lift the cover and it 87 degrees F. Again kind of spoils a hot tub party and embarassing to say the least. Both of these incidents happened on a tub that was less than 6 months old. I don't have enough time to describe all of the problems I experienced. It was by far the worst buying decision of my life.
  4. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Now can someone tell me where I can find an online pharmacy?
  5. Sounds like you've tried to resolve the situation "I won't get into how long it took or how many attempts for answers" and that you've been more than patient. Have you gone to the BBB?
  6. My experience with Arctic is that they just fall out. I think they fixed that problem finally, and if you have a newer tub, you should be able to unscrew them counter clockwise. Good luck. They don't "just fall out" anymore. They have corrected this and all their jets are threaded. The dealer I bought from acknowledged this was a problem a few years back but with the new jets it is a non-issue. Like I said, my experience with Arctic is they will just fall out. When I bought my tub, I was told Arctic's are engineered for the harshest climates, only to find out later the the jets fall out when exposed to warm water. Like I also said, I think they finally fixed this problem. Yes Salp, you should be able to unscrew the jets and exchange them even with water in the tub. Hopefully someone affiliated with Arctic will support you and answer your questions.
  7. Same here. It is piping hot when I go in with or without the jets on. The heat pump does go on when it goes beneath the preset temp...but with the cover on this may happen perhaps once a day for 5 minutes. These tubs have the best insulation bar none. "but with the cover on this may happen perhaps once a day for 5 minutes. These tubs have the best insulation bar none." This may happen and this may not, how do you know?

  9. How do you know "With the cover on the heater never turns on" ?
  10. I couldn't agree more, especially with your last statement. I've spent around $1500.00 in misc. charges trying to keep mine running all the while under warranty.
  11. Salp, I'm not in Edmonton. I've been told factory spec. does not include a black grommet for these cables in and out of the spa pack. Factory spec. does not call for the holes for these cables to be water tight. As for pinching the cable, my tub was delivered that way. Spending over $10,000.00 for a tub and this is the best they can do?
  12. Andrew, I did not get the salt water system. I did pay a service fee even though the tub was still under warranty. In fact I've paid almost $1000.00 in different fees even though the tub is still under warranty. I've also made several trips to the dealership for replacement jets, my time, my car, my gas. The tub has leaked twice, both times I fixed myself. It's never worked for more than 6 months without requiring something. You can add all these charges and inconveniences up, then you will know why, when someone asks for my opinion about Arctic, I give them one. Not wanting to sound completely negative, Arctic Corporate seems to be trying to improve their customer relations lately, just too little too late for me. Good luck with your new spa.
  13. I own an Arctic and I've had many problems with it. It's never worked for more than 6 months without having some sort of problem. It was 4-5 months late for delivery due to a " pillow fit " problem that wasn't detected before it left the factory. Upon delivery there were 2 cables installed for the same sensor, one routed correctly the other pinched between the cover of the spa pack. Why 2 cables for the same sensor on delivery day? This sensor has since been serviced. It recently leaked due to a splice in the plumbing. This splice had no glue or mechanical fastener. When I pushed the plumbing together it required very little effort and was obvious to me that it would not stay together without some help. This tub isn't even a year old. On a more positive note, the manufacturer seems to be taking a more proactive approach to customer service than I've seen in the past.
  14. I'd like to know too, so that I can follow up with the dealer involved and see if any issues can be resolved. But read on... Please PM me with your name and the serial number of your Arctic Spa. We try to follow up on any customer issue and I have to treat any post as legitimate until proven otherwise. However, haven't heard from this poster yet. I begin to suspect a troll or a shill. I've sent you my serial number a couple of times. Here it is again. A08CX112763 Looking forward to hearing from you so we can discuss what I consider lousy dealer support and some of the many problems I've had with my spa. Thanks
