  1. I’m having a problem with our Raypak RP2100 (405B) Heater. The display panel will not move from the off Position. The LCD display shows water temp. and the word OFF. I cannot move the heater to pool or spa mode. When I press the MODE button nothing happens, it won’t show anything other then the temp and OFF. I thought the board was bad so I installed a new one and it still won’t move out of the OFF mode. Now that I installed the new board I see the mode and up and down buttons are not part of the new board so I'm now thinking the problem is with touch pad. I checked the parts list and found Raypak sells an item called Switch/decal Membrane - 009492F. I’m thinking this may be the problem, has anyone replaced the Membrane and if so, did you experience the same problem before changing it and did it fix the problem? Thanks for your help.
  2. Our IG pool was completed in August, we live in the Northeast and I’m in the process of closing our pool for the first time. I’m having a hard time deciding how much water I should leave in the pool? First off, I will be installing a safety cover and the manufacture requires no less then 18”between the cover and water. When I started the process I was told to drain the water 4 to 5” below the lowest return which was 14”. With this in mind I drained the pool accordingly. Since this time someone who I believe is knowledgeable told me to fill the pool back up to 9” below the coping and add a step pump. Being my first time closing the pool I’m very nervous and I don’t want to screw anything up. My biggest concern filling the pool back up to the 9” below the coping is the wall returns will be under water. The lines were blown out and new #8 plugs were installed. The skimmer openings are at 9” and both wall returns are at 14”. Someone else also told me as long as there is 15” gap between the bottom of the cover and the top of water I should be fine, what should I do?
  3. We'll be closing our inground pool for the first time this year and we're curious what we should expect to pay for this service. We live in the Northeast PA and our freeform pool is 20' x 40'. Does the cost of closing the pool usally include the cost of installing the safety cover? Thanks
  4. Our in ground pool (Shotcrete) was completed on 8-5-09. The PB told me to run the equipment for 12 hours a day. Based the following pool details, what should be the minimum run time be per day? •Freeform: 20’ X 40’ •Gallons: 20K •Finish: Diamond Brite •Pump: Jandy Stealth 2hp •Filter: Jandy DEV60 •Chlorinator: Hayward CL220 •Pool Cleaner: Aquabot T4 •location: Northeast Thank you
