  1. That was before Watkins bought Caldera so information may be scarce from them. Is there a wiring diagram on the inside cover of the electrical control box?
  2. I would be thinking either pressure switch or circuit board and leaning towards the pressure switch if everything else works.
  3. OEM Replacement heater would be part #76228 which is a 4kW heater w/pressure switch. You could also use part #73791 which would require a pressure switch jumper since it does not have a pressure switch.
  4. The gray wire going into the side of the heater is for the pressure switch. If the pressure switch is bad the hot tub won't heat. Hot Spring does make pressure switch jumpers that plug into the circuit board in place of the pressure switch otherwise you could DIY one and see if the hot tub heats.
  5. Never tried drying one out. What do you mean you cannot access any of the buttons? Is the screen blank or do the buttons just not respond to touch? if it is determined you need a new wireless remote, they should be readily available. Unlike the hot tub cover, it won’t take forever to get.
  6. For what its worth, I would sell the Grandee for $200 more for the same package. I personally would skip the stereo (I'm not a fan of music and hot tubs). With high demand and no inventory, your ability to negotiate really goes away. Factor in that your dealer also will incur cost increase at the first of the year along with freight rates increasing every 90 days, they probably would be charging a couple hundred more if they knew what their exact cost would be when that hot tub goes into production.
  7. Personal opinion, neck jets are a crapshoot. You can never accommodate everyone. It cost a manufacturer a lot of money to design and create a shell mold which is why you see the more premium manufacturers design and create their own and the lower end manufacturers buy the design/template and reuse it. I don't necessarily think there is stagnation within the industry, just that manufacturers are not going to introduce a half baked design. Company's like Hot Spring, Caldera, Jacuzzi, etc have a reputation to withhold and many of their models have been around for years. If they cannot substantially improve them then they don't. As a Hot Spring / Caldera dealer with local competition from the likes of Master Spas, Artesian, Maax, etc, I hear it a lot about the neck jets. I've also seen it where I've had customers interested in a Utopia Caldera and not fit ideally under the neck jets and opt for something in the Hot Spring lineup which is why I say its a crapshoot. As for the Provence, I think everyone in the industry knows that double lounger's are low volume sellers. The Provence existed in Europe before it did in the United States. It must have sold decently well over there to have been brought into the U.S. market.
  8. I'm not even aware of there being a fuse for the music, but keep in mind, I'm also not a service tech. Without any additional investigating, I would think that the wireless music component failed and that is why the hot tub is now not acknowledging it's existence. It's also possible something got messed up in the software and the hot tub just needs the software re-installed.
  9. In regards to the reputation of the manufacturer, Artesian and Marquis are sooooooo much better than Cal Spas. As someone who sold Cal Spas years ago and has been in the industry now for 20 years, I wouldn't ever consider being a Cal Spas dealer again because while they may not make the worst spa on the market, I have zero confidence they will honor their warranty and support the dealer after the sale.
  10. Assuming the electronics are original, the Caldera part number for the control board is 77089. It looks like the replacement didn’t come with the little daughter circuit board that the original has. I can’t tel by the pictures but it looks like the original might have a different configuration on the bottom right? To me it looks like there are connections directly on top of each other.
  11. Now I'm curious. Someone want to PM who this is?
  12. Currently, Hot Spring does not have any way to control the hot tub via wifi. That should change next year, but I don't have any information I can share. Anything you would attempt would be completely a diy setup.
  13. Do you have saltwater? Green light blinking can be a bunch of things. Low salt, bad salt cartridge, dirty filter, temp sensor, etc. The control thermistor (temp sensor) screws into the heater next to the hi-limit sensor.
  14. The Dash was only made from 2010-2012, never seen one personally.
  15. If the jet pressure is decreasing I would take a look at your filters. Dirty filters will reduce available water flow going to your pump. For the pump not kicking in on high, does that always happen or is it random? Could be a bad pump, could be a relay sticking on the circuit board, could be the button on the control panel or the control head behind it not sending the signal to the pump.
  16. Your dealer should have an idea of when your hot tub would come in as long as it was part of their 2021 allocation. I was given tentative production dates for all of my 2021 orders back in March. There have been delays, but Hot Spring is providing weekly updates to dealers so they know how production is going. As for the Grandee, condition and price are everything. You need to see if filled and running and I would want to look inside the equipment area to make sure no issues there either. Keep in mind the Grandee has no warranty.
  17. If you have the spa frog system open the cap and pull that out. Otherwise force water back through that jet with your garden hose with the hot tub powered off.
  18. I believe the pressure switch is inside the black box. From Caldera, no serviceable parts, have to replace entire heater though I’ve never taken one part so I’m unsure if you could source the pressure switch elsewhere.
  19. 2012 Martinique. Judging by the lack of USB port on the circuit board it appears to be the “ORCA” electronics. Without calling Caldera tech support I got no idea what that D21 LED is. Do the jets work?
  20. If the LCD display is dead that is problematic because the display is obsolete. Only way to have a functional display is either get lucky finding a used one or upgrading to current electronics.
  21. They're a real company but one I would personally avoid. Sold them years ago at my previous job. The lower end products were not bad for the money but they lose their luster as the price increases because the quality doesn't match up with the price. Plus the company will screw the dealer every way possible when there is a warranty claim which is why you don't see a lot of dealers for them and rarely ever see a dealer who has been with the company long term.
  22. 2009 phase II Jetsetter. Phase II just means "Orca" electronics. If the circulation pump is running but you are still in protection mode it could be one of the sensors on the heater, more likely the hi-limit. Could also be a temp sensor, a circuit board, low water level, dirty filters, weak flow from the circulation pump. Remove all filters and make sure the water level is high enough to rule those out. If you're not wanting to have a service tech come out, the sensors are the cheapest of the parts it could be.
  23. That's an old one, 1990. If you want to pm me your email address I can send you the pdf version of the manual, but for a 31 year old hot tub, oem parts don't really exist anymore. I have zero experience with mechanical hot tub controls but I would concur that it is probably the heater if it trips the breaker when calling for heat.
  24. 4-5 years is what I tell my outdoor customers to expect and 7-8 years indoors, maybe more. If you condition the outside of the cover with a product like 303 Protectant or comparable product and take good care of your chemicals, that will extend the life of your cover.
