  1. So, when you buy something on Craigslist do you feel that you "got over" on someone if you pay less or do you just know you paid what they wanted? I remember years ago a certain customer of my fathers (auto shop) used to always drop the change off of the bill in his check. I asked my Dad one day, "why do you let him do that?" My Dad replied with a smile...., "son, I always add an extra dollar to his bill" Oh, to the OP...try this.....put the Gazebo up for sale and throw in a "free" spa! price accordingly
  2. LOL.....every time a Master post lands on this forum it ends the same way.......Other dealers "bashing" them. As far as advertising, if anyone thinks (argues) that the other brands don't use a "slanted" approach they are FOOLS. Any independant folks reading this....keep in mind, as far as I can tell, no one bashing ownes a Master as their personal hot tub. If they start posting now.......well that would just be amazing wouldn't it.....
  3. This I do agree with. When we purchased ours we were told "up front" the dealer that would be delivering, setting up AND responsible for any problems we would have.
  4. See, to me using the "used for sale" market as an indication, I don't see that as not many master Spa's out there......I see it as not many Master Spa owners who are selling their hot tubs because they are happy with them and are having no problems with them making them put them up for sale It's all interpretation I guess
  5. Not that I would even know where to look, but I would like to see how many Masters are sold as compared to other brands across the country for a year. You know, a list or something by manufacturer. I think that you would be wrong in your statement.........now, if you told me that less Master Spa "owners" post their problems of their spas here after reading the posts for fear of being told how they wasted their money on a spa and company who doesn't care about them after the sale.........I may have believed you....but probably not And for the record, I am a Master Auto Tech not a spa salesman....and I'm a pretty good judge of workmanship of products that have anything to do with mechanics. disclaimer: I am not a Rocket Scientist and Spa's "aint" no space shuttle
  6. I have the twilight 8.2 and absolutely love it. Only at a month of ownership so can't give you too much info. Never tried the other brands so also can't compare too well. For comparison purposes...I spent $6250 (pre-tax) at one of those weekend shows. I might have gotten them down a little further on price...but don't think too much. Hope this helps Be careful warp1, these folks around this here forum will eat you alive telling you how bad a decision you made buying a Master Spa from there traveling show. My wife and I went to one of their show's. We purchased a Down East Portsmouth model spa (master) and simply love it. We have had it running and hot going on 5 years now and have had only one problem......the ozonator (sp?) had to be replaced after 2 years.....free of charge too, that included parts AND labor with no extra warranty plan. Relax and enjoy your Master Spa and don't let the Spa "dealers" on this forum scare you. Besides, look at all the "HELP I got a problem" posts on this forum and read the names of the spa's involved.........very very few Master Spa's....... As for the OP's question on price? Look, search and call dealers for price quotes and see what you come up with.
  7. The level of "skepticism" on here directly relates to most of the posters and "haters" of Master Spa's are dealers. Plain and simple. If you read enough, you will see what I mean. I have had a Down East Portsmouth going on 4 years now that we bought at the "show". My Master dealer is (believe it or not) 59 miles from my home. Since we purchased the spa, only the ozone generator thingy had to be replace @ about the 2 year mark. My dealer, West Chester Spa's, came out, repaired the spa at NO COST at all to me. I paid nothing. We love our spa and would recomend a Master spa.....because we actually own one. BTW, look down the first page of ALL the folks asking for help on mechanical issues with their spa's........now, take note of the brands that they are asking about.......how many Master Spa owners? Make you wonder, right? Relax and enjoy your spa......we are
  8. Dave, I agree 100% especially the part about crappy work. I grew up with my father teaching me, in the automotive field, that "the work you do reflects directly upon you, do it right the first time, do it neatly, and be proud to say you did the job"..... It seems to me that today's workers are not like the "old school" workers who took pride in what they did and how it LOOKED when done. All they want is the cash. My FIL had an electrician wire his addition and it looked like a 2 year old did it. Guess what, it passed inspection with flying colors.......The outlets and switch plates were not even level or square with the floor for pete's sake. Sorry if I hurt any contractors feeling's out there but this type of work seems to be the "norm" today.
  9. I have first hand experience that this statement is total BS. I have a Down East which has been running perfectly except needing the ozone fixed. I made a call to the dealer in my area who also was the ones that delivered it to me, within 2 days, spa fixed charge was $0. Our Spa has been a great purchase. The wife and I love it, our 2 daughters love it, our friends and family that have soaked in it were impressed. You want to talk about a scam......you so called experts here with the agenda are the scam.
  10. Well, I would say to call the dealer as it's only 6 months old. I have a DownEast Portsmouth going on 2 years now and have had no problems and we love it. Also, no ozonator noise. As far as no replies.....I thought you would at least get the standard "Master Spa's are junk.....you need to buy a XYZ Spa"... Pretty much a standard answer here....
  11. Those pesky Down East Spa's that won't loose water temp overnight..............

  13. R & R I hope you get to read this reply, because you are dead on about this site. I have lurked and read many, many, posts in this forum and it is plain to see that the folks here giving all the "opinions" are tied to the business and what they sell and service is the "only spa to buy" while everything else is "junk" I visit many forum sites to gain info and knowledge on many different products/issues and I have to say that this site is by far the WORST for finding a non-biased opinion/answer.
  14. <----official fire starter...will bring bear rug.. Does anyone else think these comments are sleazy and inappropriate? If a woman posts a question on this forum, she's looking for a serious answer, not snide, lecherous remarks. Just my opinion. Sandi As posted, I absolutely agree Sandi. Now, if KIALDA would have been helpful after the rude statement, it may have been able to be taken as a joke.
