  1. This is the best post I have seen in a while. There are names on here that even I dont think about, and you are new and just looking. Geeez You think these people are stupid!! I cannot believe your office let you post this,
  2. "They do not rust and are adjustable to suit your needs. They are stainless steel on the outside and have chrome plated parts on the inside" That was one of my favorite lines in there description. They wont rust because they are stainless steel, well kinda, on the outside anyway. what could possibly be chrome plated metal on the inside of a jet? the ball bearings? or do you think they mean the back side of the stainless plate on the jets.. Would that not make the plate made out of 3 metals? a base metal plated with stainless on one side and chrome on the other?
  3. ttrublue, I have no idea. I dont know what country you are in, but I could find very little on these China made spas.
  4. Different spas are setup differently internally (especially on the underside) as far as insulation and such go. I'm not familiar with the Ymir brand at all. However, if the leak is under the shell you'll probably be forced to drain the spa, and either set it up on blocks or turn it onto it's side. Then you'll have to gain access to the underside of it and find the plumbing where the leak is. Could be anything from a bad glue joint in the plumbing, to a cracked pipe. Hard to say until you get into the hot tub. If the spa is insulated on the under side, you may have to dig through and remove that insulating foam. If its not insulated, it should be a quick peak inside to find the bad joint or pipe. Gotta luv working on a fullfoamed spa.......good luck and goodnight I believe this is a NON foamed spa. It states thermal insulation.. I dont believe these are sold in the U.S., but I may be wrong. Is the OP in the U.S. or another country like China.. 5. Arctic has done some PR to improve there reputation but as I said that type of move is more likely an Arctic move as in the past they were notorious for decietful sales tactic. Roger is being kind,,, and correct..
  6. The good news is you still have the old filter. Bring it into a local spa store and they can cross refrence it by the size. No problems, any spa store should be able to help you..
  7. A cover shelf is an option.. http://leisureconcepts.com/main.php?page=19
  8. ...but what are you going to do when your daughter moves out on her own?? I guess I will just put on a gay costume, Stick my thunbs in my ears with my palms held high, stick out my tounge making a rasberry sound, and tell myself I am kool...
  9. Mine is about 5'8 and blonde. She gets out changes the channel and fills my drink also.. Life is good...
  10. that is a flow switch, the part you need to locate is #6560-860. It is a very common part and you should have no trouble finding it.
  11. The Temp sensor is located in the filter compartment on that spa, so I dont think that is the T that you are talking about. Are you looking at a t in the right side of the equipment bay? The ozone t is a mazzi and has a tube that leads to the ozone generator. There is also another T that would be a short way after the heater that has a wire coming out of it, that is a flow switch. Which one are you looking for? I would think any dealer would have all those 3 parts in stock.
  12. You may want to check with your local Jacuzzi dealer.. Jacuzzi actually sells a remote wireless system for there spas. If you go to there website you will find it under accys..
  13. So far I think I did get lucky as far as the dealer goes, everyone there has been good to work with. They also built the deck which I am very happy with. If I'm not expecting company I'm setting the temp around 97 -99 so far that seems ok to hop in and swim for a few minutes and take a break and swim again. I hope to lower that as the temps go up and so does my ability to swim longer. If I think it will just be a soaking session I set for about 101. This weekend I noticed the filter was running 4 hour sessions so I dropped that back to 2 hours this morning. The only problem was my doing. I had not clipped it shut and at 5 AM Christmas we were awoken to a huge thump against the house. My first thought was *$&%^ Santa just ran into the Chimminy we just had re-done and made taller. No it was both covers being lifted right off the tub and tossed against the house. I have no experiance in using swim spas. Do you use the spa at 97-99 to use it as a swim spa? Thats interesting because out at the spa show most of the swim spa guys were saying that they dont cost that much to run because the people who use them keep them at 80 degrees to use for a workout. That sounded awfull cold to me being a hot tub guy.. I also felt it would take a long time to try to heat a huge tub from 80 degrees everytime you wanted to take a soak. Your comments seem more realistic to me. I can see a new Santa Clause theme movie here, He doesnt die falling off the roof, Santa gets nailed by a huge spa cover and whoever is in the hot tub is now the man!!
  14. Ask the local jacuzzi dealer if they can do that for you. Dont try to do it yourself, it may void the warranty, but you can ask them about that also..
  15. Wow now i am impressed!! Can I add this without a circ pump on my spa? how will the spa know when to activate the Ozone ? Still very impressed by the way ! yes, it will go on during a filter cycle.
  16. Congrats on your new spa! You must have the biggest spa in the state of Mass.. If you have a good dealer I am sure you will be fine. No sence in being a Monday morning quarterback. I hope you take the time to come back and tell us how much you figure that spa costs per month. I am curious on what that big spa would cost up in the northeast. What temp do you keep it at?
  17. http://www.powerpools.co.uk/ You said that would be amazing!!
  18. I agree with Dr Spa. You may need to drain your spa and slide it away from the house to mount the brackets on. You need a little room to install the bolts. another option may be this:: http://www.sterlingcovana.com/ I know its a little over the top, but I think its kool!!
  19. The #2 pump does draw from the intakes on the bottom, but the 2 speed motor draws from the filter compartment. There is no difference in draw on the pump if you use the 488 or the 2 part filter. The 488 filter is blocked off 1/3 of the way down. 1 third is for the circ pump and 2/3 for the #1 pump. When using the two part system, 2/3 is the pleated cartridge which is the exact same as the 488. The other 1/3 is the micro clean which effects the circ pump only. I know you said the filter is in new condition, but does that just meen that it looks clean? Your problem sounds like it is cartridge related. If you have full pressure when the cartridge is out and it is restricted when it is in, I would suggest chenging the filter. You can try a deep overnight soak with a filter cleaning solution and a good powerwash rinse the next day on the cartridge you have. If that filter is a year old then I would just change it .. personally I like the two part system better. It has nothing to do with water flow, but that micro clean filter really does a great job cleaning the water. You just have to remember to change the small filter every 3 months and clean the pleated part like you would the 488.
  20. Hi Dave, so that the Pro's on this site can help you. They always ask the same question. What brand and model of spa do you have. How old is it and did you buy it new or is it used. What year is the model.
  21. Hi, Do a search, and you'll find that one product stands above all, 303 Protectant. I tried it and it does work well. Thanks, Randy http://www.spadepot.com/shop/303-Protectan...oz-P758C57.aspx Exactly, and they have a cleaner to..
  22. Sorry, you made the post so I am addressing you. There is another poster on here that feels they are an industry expert because they have over 100 posts on a spa forum.. If you are going to post information, please do so from your own knowledge. Most of the info I have seen are from people that dont have a clue! I am sorry you fit into that group.. You made the post then live with the comments.
  23. I am sorry Lighthouse, but this last post of yours wins the award for the number one delusional incorrect rant I have seen yet. Your assumptions of how this industry functions are beyond obtuse. I am sure most dealers, service centers and manufacturers will simply read your post and avoid comment. You see it is hard to have a dissuasion of intelligence with an unarmed individual. I however understand that this is an open forum and everyone is entitled to there opinion and comments. Let me say it in the level of terms you feel we need to see to understand.....Your opportunity to opine has been read and laughed at. 1-- Your wrong 2--Your wrong 3--Your wrong 4-5-6-7-8-9- Your wrong...
  24. great photo, and the spa sure makes the snow days go by faster. I have to say, after all these years of delivering & repairing spas in the snow. The freezing temps and all the shoveling and blowing, canncellations and power outages, I have really been thinking of a spa under the palm trees, a little Bruddah IZ in the background with an umbrella topped drink in hand..It used to take until feb or March before I started to feel this way, but lately come October I am already in the mood for some Kauai or Cabo..
  25. Steps up to the plate, takes a swing, and hits a homer!!! Great post Alan, and a great offer to take care of the customer when it was not the product at fault!!
