  1. My husband and I bought a Sunbelt Swim Spa October 2006 and had it for almost one year. I am an avid swimmer and two of my girls swim for their school swim team, so we were very excited to get this unit to practice their swimming and for me to excersize on a daily basis. To my dismay, this was a nightmare. It was very difficult to find the "sweet spot" by which to swim in and my girls kept getting turned sideways and pushed around. Besides that the unit was broke down for at least 40% of the time with issues that we were told were electric related. We had the power company and two different electricians check our wiring out and they could find no problem with it. We had three complete new electronic packs put in it over the course of about 3 months. After that the local dealer would not respond to our calls and the unit sat there dead, unusable. I tried several times to talk to the manufacturer about this problem, but kept getting the run around of always having to find someone else to speak to. I finally spoke to the President of Sunbelt Spas who told me he would not replace the unit and did everything they could to fix it. We felt like we had a lemon and asked them to replace it under there five year warranty. We never did get satisfaction with it. so I started researching other Swim Spas. I called Master Spas and asked to speak to the President of the company. I was immediately connected to Bob Lauter and had a wonderful informative conversation about the swim spa marketplace and in particular the Master Spa H2X Swim Spa. He referred me to the local dealer in my area. I contacted the owner and came in to their showroom. They had an H2X on display and were very excited to have us try it out. Five minutes after getting into it we were sold! The propulsion system is so easy to swim in (my youngest took about 5 minutes to get used to it and now she swims like a fish). We made a very good deal with the local dealer and he took ours in on consignment for us. Before purchasing we tried to make sure that our buying experience this time would be positive and checked out some of the references that they had. Upon installation, we had an electrical issue that had us thinking "here we go again". The dealer came out at 7:30 at night in the dark and made a minor adjustment that took 15 minutes to repair. My daughter was very excited to see that it was working correctly since she was having a swimming birthday party the next day! We use our H2X almost every day for swimming, eexersize and as a pool for 8 - 10 kids. We have sent the local dealer pictures at Christmas time with snow coming down and all of us in the pool. This has been an excellent purchase and a great experience for us. comparing the two models is like night and day. Swimming in the Sunbelt is like swimming against a firehose in a prison riot while the H2X is constant and at a speed that each one of us can enjoy. Our propulsion system makes it so easy to swim in and also can be strong enough to wear you out in a hurry if you so desire! Our monthly electric bill averages about $ 50.00 a month, but we use it all year long, it is really fun in the dead of winter! We spent over $18,000 on the Sunbelt that we had for a year that only workd right for about 8 months. We paid about $ 25,000 for the H2X and we feel it has been a great investment for us. We can see using this over the next 15 years! I understand there is a smaller H2X that has been introduced with more seats that is smaller in size, but we like ours. We have also referred two friends who have also bought also. One of my friends has cancer and excersizing in a pool was recommended for her. Since she has gotten her spa her bone density has increased at an unbelievable rate, which she gives credit to the H2X for. Thank you Mr. Lauter for the referral and to our local Master Spa dealer, we love our H2X!
