  1. Hi I posted under "Ready to Scream" about cloudy water with Baqua Spa. I am switching to chlorine today. Have dumped my spa and refilling with fresh water. I have received a yellow "nature 2" thingy that is suppose to be placed inside pleated filter????? I think ???? Anyway was wondering what size spa you were using for the formula you list above? What regime would you recommend for 300 gal heavy to above average use tub on the chlorine/yellow nature 2 thingy???? Thanks
  2. Thanks. I had another water test today at a different place. Too much sanitizer. 149 ppm. The last water test showed 0 ppm sanitizer. So I was told to add 2 oz. They say this is what is causing my cloudiness and it will just have to burn out, but continue to do my maintenance. So what do you do if you can't even trust their testing? At least I know it ain't me....
  3. I feel like I have. On 7/11 after having tested Sanitizer tested at 0, ph 7.7, TA 65, Hardness 92, TDS 0, Copper & Iron 0. Added TA 2.75 circulated 30 min pumps and jets on (no air). Then added calcium at 2.5 increments with 30 min cir. in between (no air) (sometimes longer in between) Then added 2 oz sanitizer. It did not clear up any, steadily seems to be getting a little cloudier. Spa has a 24 hr continous pump, with I think 30 seconds purge cycle every 12 hours. This is correct, I am using BaquaSpa. I am having difficulty and I am really not a stupid person although Chemistry was not my best subject. I do not have any problem with Chlorine I have been around pools all my life. That is why I was considering switching to that.
  4. First time posting, new spa owner. Purchased in April, finally got hooked up in early May. Filled with well water and stayed clear approx 2 weeks, had a leak, had to drain for repair to a jet. Filled again stayed clear approx 1 week started to cloud, got so cloudy had to drain and start over. Same thing, called the tech to come and see if filter working properly and it was, took water sample with him and called back stating Sanitizer to high (100 ppm). Suggested using it to use up some of Sanitizer. Continuously getting cloudier until you could not see bottom at all nor most of the jets. Drained, cleaned closed up and went on vacation for a week. Filled on return 7/6/06. Added Baqua Spa (same as before) waterline 1 1/2 oz, oxidizer 3 oz. sanitizer 2 oz in the proper order with jets on as specified. (300 Gallon Spa). Had water checked on 7/7/06 needed to add 2 1/2 hardness inc. On 7/8/06 added 3 oz oxidizer due to considering heavy use. 7/10/06 added another 1 1/2 oz oxidizer due to starting to cloud up. also added 2 oz water clarifier. 7/11/06 still cloudy, had water checked, needed to add 2.75 TA Inc 12.5 Calcium Inc. and 2 oz sanitizer. 7/12/06 added another 1 1/2 waterline and 3 oz shock for my weekly maint. Useage has been as follows 7/6 2 people approx 30 min. 7/7 4 people approx 3 hours. 7/8 3 people approx 1 1/2 hrs. 7/9 6 people off & on for approx 3 hrs. 7/11 2 people 30 mins. 7/12 2 people approx 30 mins. Water has not been crystal clear since chemicals were added. Filter seems to be working and during this last period I have rinsed off filter with hose. (Also this is a new filter, which I purchased just in case the other filter had been bad). I am seriously thinking of switching to chlorine. Any suggestions?
