  1. I would suggest the polaris.. but I live in jersey.I Have been to Tucson and know there is a lot of dust and sand so thats why they suggest the care taker system. Fine sand may clogg up the jets in the Polaris ( sometimes) . They do offer sand and silt bags for this cleaner. DE filter.
  2. have you ever heard of " Mineral Springs" Its like a european health spa in your back yard. It is a salt system with mineral renewals to be added every two weeks.
  3. If you are a good diver you could swim to the bottom and plug the main drain. Other then that if its a solid cover with W/bags then it could be porous and the cover pump could be sucking the pool water down. ( hopefully a new cover would not have any holes yet)
  4. Does the spa drain all the way down? Do you have automated valves for pool mode and spa mode? If so, is one of them damaged or set improperly? If none of these are a problem, its a good idea to have a pool technician pressure test the spa lines.
  5. Absolutely. The Polaris. There is nothing out there better then this pool cleaner. It goes around the whole bottom of the pool sucking up debris, even drives up the walls and back down.
  6. Anthony sylvan are the best pools out there. Gas Heaters are better. Rix pool and spa are the most professional inground pool service. They are in East Hanover. They do a great job installing equipment. The DE filter provides great filtration, and fresher filtration. You could always backwash more frequently, and hose off the grids completely. Its better then sand.
  7. My favorite is the Ray Pak 2100. Its somewhere in between the two in price range, and its a great heater.
  8. Perhaps your multi port is on waste or backwash. Make sure its on filter. Still loosing water? You should pressure test your system for leaks. Could be a broken pipe. If your system is not primed and circulating properly.. yes, all these problems are related.
