  1. I would say extremely, with the Canadian dollar being at .8ish of the US dollar and knowing that the tub costs 9000+ (havent sold d1 in awhile but guessing thats the low) american that seems very reasonable because it probably sells for 11,000+ new cdn.
  2. Dream is not in my eyes a D1, it doesnt use the same insulation or technology that actually makes D1 one of the highest end of spas in the industry. I would suggest the j350 because it costs less and in my eyes would be a higher end of spa. I dont post much anymore but I am pretty well known for my belief D1 Reflection/Bay series is probably the highest end of spa on the market.
  3. shutting power off to spa is flipping the breaker...this is in all spas
  4. have you guys wet tested the nordic? I am not a fan of the round tubs, I like the more bucket seats in the spas...did you look into the spas I mentioned?
  5. well congrats, hope it works out well for you and your family
  6. I was just told the average cost of having a hot tub rated by the CEC is between 2-4 thousand. I spent about an hour on the phone with them and honestly I was hoping the CEC would be holding spas to a higher standard then they are...they are testing the spa at room temp. Master Spas passed for god sakes....I think Sundance needs to just bite the bullet and get rated because its not as expensive as some people said before but it really isnt worth bragging about.
  7. there is a price increase every year, 9500 would be a really good deal...give it a shot what can it hurt
  8. Well the D1 is a spa less then 1 year old that cost 9000+, compared to the Coleman that costs 6000 and is worth 6000...the d1 jets are great actually...why dont you wet test...quality standpoint I say d1, but try both spas and see...if its your friend im sure you can try it one night right?
  9. its a tapered covered that fits and seals fine...there is a special cover lifter for that spa, the dealer should have it. I do not believe you can get a reverse fold cover though.
  10. I hate this entire "salesperson pulling a fast one thing" Some sales people quote BHP some CHP....is it really anything but a number? I find the Sundance is more powerful, but only if you divert all the power to one seat...if you will be using the spa with more then one person the Bullfrog will probably be better, but the Capri is actually a rather weak spa if you distribute the power evently between the seats. Not to mention for some reason Sundance has become a little too flashy, with all the new features being lighting and waterfall features not improving there below average sensor system or improving what might be the worst bottom in the industry with a stapled on abs sheet...I like Sundance for alot of things but they also need to pull there head out of you know what and get with the times...with the jetting changes Jacuzzi is bringing in I honestly am starting to believe Jacuzzi has passed Sundance by and Sundance is now going to be a nice looking spa with a good story but falling farther from the elite class they used to have. Which sucks because I would say 70% of the spas I have ever sold have been Sundances, and just because the way it fits me I would still probably buy a Cameo if I had to buy 1 spa with my own money...but I would know I could get something higher quality for less money. (Which is usually never the case)
  11. I have never even heard of that brand...jacuzzi, hot springs, sundance, d1, bullfrog are all some of my favorite brands. I dont recommend cedar enclosures because alot of time companies use the cheapest possible materials in the enclosure to ensure a cheap enough price to sell with a spa...I would suggest a high quality synthetic gazeebo if you really want one but would suggest shopping for one of those after you owned the spa for sometime to see if its something you might like and get an idea what you might like after you have owned the spa for some time
  12. I am not positive, you should ask your Marquis dealer...hopefully they dont rip your lips off on the upcharging
  13. they didnt reduce it to 2, they made another model in the 2 series with 2...reason being you dont need 3 jet packs in a two person spa and that reduces the cost and should improve the water pressure....so they have a 231 and a 331. I have not sat in that tub but have enjoyed the seating of the bullfrog spas and have been a big supporter of the brand for awhile now, and I see all brands
